Great bike shop. Super helpful, and if they can fix your bike issue with old replacement parts at no cost to you, they will!

What a great staff and store! I'm brand new to kayaking and Val, Matt and Griffin have been wonderfully professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. Big box, schmig box; Massey's Outfitters is the place to go.

Go to local shop for outdoor gear, clothing and equipment repairs! These people know what you need to explore the world the right way! Get fitted! Get advice! Get geared up! They go above and beyond to help so do try it on and then buy from the evil Amazon! Shop local, explore everywhere else!

We were going to Jazzfest. The weather forecast predicted 1 inch of rain. Failed to pack boots or a weather proof backpack. The people who worked at Massey's were such a big help. They had a wide selection of boots and back packs for us to choose from. They were so helpful and got us lined up with the perfect gear. The store itself is lovely with a wide selection of sporting goods. You can get to it on the Canal Street/ Musuem line of the cable car. $1.25 a ride or $3 for an all day pass. Great store! Great people!

There seems to be a situation where staff are competing with one another over commissions and accosting customers aggressively while internally fighting with one another over customers and their commissions. Not a pleasant shopping experience.

Best customer service ever. Every single employee went out of their way to help me. And they were so polite. They have lots of great stuff! I will be using them for all of my future sporting goods needs.

In my experience, this place is the BEST place for bike repairs. Not only were they speedy and effective, they were incredibly friendly- EXCELLENT SERVICE! I usually go uptown where I live, but this place was worth the 10 extra minutes to drive there. Overall, really really great place.

Lovely place. Staff is super friendly, and the selection is large. Brought my bike in for a tune up after a few years of sitting idle, and the bike guy was honest that it didn't actually need that much work. You can trust that these guys will do good work, and won't charge you for unnecessary stuff.

CHECK QUALITY OF ALL PRODUCTS IN STORE BEFORE YOU BUY!! Bought a DiscGolf disc and did not see a large defect on the rim. I tried to return the item and swap it out, but was denied and treated rudely as if I was somehow attempting something sinister? No need to be so suspicious of long time customers wanting to swap out a defected $12 product on the same day of purchase… See ya!

I was visiting New Orleans and looking for a great outdoor gear store. This is THE place! They have a huge selection of all of the best brands. Clothing, coolers, tents, shoes, wallets, knives, bikes. They have it all. Also, I was greeted and helped by multiple sales associates. They have a fantastic staff here. No complaints and all the praise. Check em out!

I needed my back tire fixed a couple weeks ago. I brought it into the bike shop in the back. The guy put in a new tube and I was on my way. Less than twenty four hours later, my back tire is flat again. It's fine. I assumed they just missed something before. I bring it back in but nobody is working in the back. 12 days go by before it's fixed. I stopped in a few times to check but nobody was ever back there. I finally pick up my bike on Sunday and Tuesday evening on my way home from work, my back tire completely rips off of my bike, causing me to almost fall. Never going into Massys again. Staff was super friendly though. Love them.

My experience was mainly with the bike shop. I brought my road bike here to get the chain replaced as it had gotten a bit rusty. The guy at the shop said it would be $13 with labor included. While the bike was still in the shop they called me and said that there was an issue with the tires, and that it would be good to tru the tires (straighten them out), and that it would be $15. I agreed to do this. After I went to pick up the bike, they gave me the ticket, and at the front desk, I was charged $50. I asked what the difference was and why it was more than I was expecting ($28). The cashier called the mechanic and said he had forgotten to charge for the chain itself ($16), when he had clearly told me when I dropped my bike off that the charge for chain and labor would be $13. This dishonesty really turned me off to the store and I don't think I will be going back anytime soon. I can't speak for the merchandise and other parts of the store, which I'm sure are great. However, be wary of the bike shop and make sure to get a clear quote beforehand.
