My daughters & I were in town the weekend of the 25th for a Taylor Swift Concert & stopped in here while out exploring the town. It was a cute little shop with some of the best tasting Pralines I have ever had!!!!

Looking for some hot sauce? Look no further! This is the one and only stop you should ever make even it comes to hot sauce.
They got hot sauce for days! Hot sauce you'd have to sign a waiver to try, and yes they let you try all kinds of hot sauce.

RUDE! Try other shops. Visited 4/26/2024. They had samples there and we had never had pralines so of course we tried them, and we got immediately scolded!! “Only one per person! They are not all yours.”
I said can I purchase one? And this is the response I got “only one? You all come here and get one and share it. You are gonna want more.” Then SHE TURNED to OTHER CUSTOMERS and said “look she used the banned word!! She’s on a ‘diet’. You can’t be on a diet here!!”
I read other comments and apparently we were not the only people who got yelled at at this place.

Avoid this place if you can. They are extremely rude to customers. We got yelled at for sampling their praline after buying a can of spice from them. Why put samples out when you don’t want customers to try them? Even the note on the receipt is in a yelling tone.

Tried a bunch of pralines from different shops in the FQ and this one had the best. Also a fun sassy lady making pralines. Also free samples.

Great variety of foods and hot sauces to try. Staff were very friendly and walked us through a hot sauce tasting.

Wide variety of options and excellent customer service! Monica was very patient and helpful in my decision of hot sauces and pecans. They have taste testers of the hot sauce which was clean, organized and nice!

Check your bag before you leave this store!!!! I assumed she was a honest lady but I guess that’s what I get for assuming. There were only two people in that store, my husband and I, her being busy wasn’t a factor at all, she clearly just didn’t put the shirt in the bag. Too many other places to shop at, won’t be back at all!

The lovely Ms. Hannah asked if I could bring her some pralines back from NOLA, and I was happy to oblige. However, I wasn't going to bring her those stale ones that have been sitting in a box at the airport. No mam! My girl deserves fresh pralines, and I knew exactly where to go! Magnolia Sugar & Spice on Royal St. They even have a sign on the wall that says, "Friends don't let friends eat stale pralines." True Dat! I had been here a few years ago and remember how delicious their freshly made, creamy pralines are. The shop has a lot of character. If you're looking for a gift or souvenir, you'll most likely find it here. They have an assortment of home décor items, trinkets, t-shirts, hot sauces, & spices. You can try the sauces at the Hot Sauce bar and then cool off the burn with a sample of a yummy praline. (Helpful tip: If your mouth is on fire from something spicy, sugar is a better remedy than milk or water.) The lady making the fresh pralines was delightful, as was the gal working the register. They were both as sweet as the luscious pralines.

Stop by for hot sauces, spices, and souvenirs with your favorite NOLA phrases. If you are not sure what you are looking for, this is a great place to start.

BEST pralines in NOLA are here. We bought pralines from several candy stores in the French Quarter and Magnolia Company won our taste test.
