“On vacation in New Orleans and desperately needed clothes washed! Took an Uber to this place after I landed quite late in the afternoon, not realising the last wash had past - the lady was SUPER friendly and she let me put a wash on quickly and wait for it, not only that she also gave me coins and change to use in the machine (I was not prepared). 100% recommend, this lady deserves all the customers and tips !!! < 3 Thank you”

“My washer broke, so I went to Black & Gold Wash/Fold. The machines were clean and functioned very well. The laundromat is maintained and has a funky vibe. The staff answered my questions and assisted with changing bills with a positive attitude. Highly recommended!”

“Clean, well managed place with lots of great amenities. Change machines, detergent and snacks for sale, a few places to sit and wait, etc. Slightly more expensive than Bienville Washeteria, but this place is definitely more well put together.”

“Pleasant and enjoyable experience. The attendant was cleaning nonstop and everything was absolutely spotless. The machines are fast and there are many carts to transport your clothes. Well lit and with ample seating. Yes, price is steep. But this was because I had three separate loads, one for bedding, one for regular colors, and one for delicates. It ended up being about $30 total for wash and dry. I think if you just have one big load, then it would have probably been about half. It’s definitely pricey, but the convenience is worth it! Will most definitely return!”

“It's fast $7.25 big washer...$3.25 for a small washer... drier .49 for 6 minutes ... Sometimes it's extremely hot in the building... You have to have cash dollars to get a card to use in the machines... No debt or credit cards...”

“CLOSED ON SUNDAY'S You'd think I remember this by now but my internal errand clock wants me to keep driving out here just to be disappointed. The reason I keep coming back is because the ladies working the front are so sweet and friendly. Today we chatted about Blockbuster and how parents used to leave their kids there for a bit to roam around (ie get a break from parenting). Prices are more than fair and my dry cleaning always comes out perfect. The turnaround time is decent and more importantly it's a local joint. For them being located in Uptown, you honestly can say they have competitive prices. I love bringing my heavy coats and sweaters here, they never have that cheap dry clean smell. *If You Know, You Know I'll keep coming back and supporting this shop. #SupportLocal #ProfessionalServices #DryCleaning”

“My husband and I have used this business for weekly dry cleaning for years- They get it right every time! Convenient parking lot next door. Super nice lady who is organized and friendly. She now knows our names. I also have them alter clothing. Always done just as I ask. We actually moved across town and drive out of our way to do business with them. I highly recommend!”

“Excellent and quick service ... fair prices ...and Honest as I once left a valuable inside my jacket and thought it was lost ...no it wasn't as they found it and returned it to me upon pick-up”

“This is the average un-staffed laundromat. Everything seems to work fine. It's a little pricey, $4.50/single load, $6/double, and up to $11/yuge. There is a ATM that gives $10, and a quarter dispenser, and the double load and larger machines will take cards or quarters, the single load washers and the dryers are only quarter operated.”

“Clean, lots of machines. Attendant on duty. Takes quarters. Has a change machine for large bills (gives you 5's) and a change machine for quarters (10s, 5s, 1s). Will definitely be back”

“Just be sure the worker here doesn't add fabric softener to your laundry without your permission or knowledge & the patrons takes clothes out of the dryer”

“Best place to go for good old gas dryers.
They even let me dry my wet clothes from home. They even wash and dry your clothes for you, they charge by the pound.”

“Although machines are old, they are more reasonable priced then other laundry ? detergent soap, is cheaper, and hours are from :6:30 AM to 9:30 PM which is better than most of the laundries in the neighborhood”

“Unique! A book seller /aundry/southern-homey-food joint - with a soft ice cream cone for desert.. Very Good gumbo. Roasted chicken is super tender, get it aux juice if they will spare alittle. . They are aLittle stingy with that gravy. I like this place. It’s fun to come here once in a while. but it's hard to pull out of the parking lot - traffic is barreling down the one way street.”
