Jose is so knowledgeable and kind! Gave us so much information and insights to the history of New Orleans and its culture. Such a great way to start our trip!

I have stayed here multiple times over the years and this is our first bad experience. Whatever you do, make sure you don’t get booked for the second property across the street. When I booked it was for the main house but there is a second location on the next st they could put you in. Here there is no locked gate so one night a crazy women tried breaking into our room. Really banging on the doors and screaming help that someone was coming to kill her at 2am. Less alarming but also annoying, I booked here for the pool and you are going to have to walk across the st in a bathing suit if you want to use it. In hindsight I should have paid half the price to be in this second location but they don’t let you know they are putting you here when you book.

Great hotel and an affordable price. Miss Mary at the front desk went out of her way to get us checked in early to accommodate our early flight. Miss Chawanda the housekeeper was also very nice and attentive. Very close to a big variety of things to do but out of the way from bar traffic. Hotel has lots of authentic and original details that I love!

So I originally booked the Inn on St. Peter hotel but when I arrived, the hotel was closed for reservations. I was instructed to call a number and Lamothe House Hotel answered and explained they were the sister hotel of Inn on St. Peter so we went over there instead. The night desk personnel was so helpful and got us checked in and even offered us free parking for any inconvenience we felt from the original hotel being closed. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and historic. It's like 2 blocks from Frenchmen Street and like half mile from the famous Bourbon Street area. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to visit.Walkability: Two blocks walk from Frenchmen's Street and like half mile from the Bourbon strip area.

Had a decent experience at The Lamothe House. The beds were clean, but the rest of the room was a little dirty. It's historic, so that's to be expected. The location is great, in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the French Quarter.

We came for Halloween this year and had the best time! The girl who checked us in was awesome, my family and I just adored her personality. We did have one of our rooms switched for another because of updates being made at the time of our stay...but that was no problem and the new room was perfect and even closer to the rest of us staying there. The only thing that made me go ? was the balconies you walk on to access the courtyard rooms on the 2nd level...we got used to them though. All our rooms were clean and the two suits are beautifully historic. We were the perfect walking distance from Bourbon street, so that was super handy. I'm sure we'll all be back again!Signing off as *shhh*, our girl will know who we are. ? Seriously Thank you, you made the stay for us♡

Skeptical at first but after my first night, I knew I made a good choice. Service was impeccable, beds we’re comfortable, & easy access to bourbon street. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed only for a few days and upon checking in the guy who checked us in was not friendly at all, no personality but he did help resolve a domestic disturbance in the room above us. Our room want the cleanest when we arrived and the bathroom left more to be desired. Our room phone and tv didn’t work. The doors looked like they were swiffered and push hair and dirt around. The room we stayed in was part of an addition in the back half of the court yard and little more modernized. In the end it was a room at a reasonable price right next to Frenchman which was a cool street. It offered nothing but a bed to sleep in and a grungy shower to wash up in.Walkability: Close to bourbon street and right next to Frenchman. Easy to walk to everything it seemed.

Absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed at. The staff are incredibly rude and don't treat people as humans. They don't have an elevator so prepare to carry your luggage (unexpected but the stairs are questionable). They over charged us so check your bills and be prepared to be kicked out (meaning you will be kicked out from the room(s) you paid for) if you make noise by the pool. Do yourself a favour and do not stay here. The rooms are incredibly dirty as well. The high rates are not worth the stay. Best thing that could happen is if this place shuts down. Book your hotel close to bourbon street or canal street, this place was the absolute worst staff and place I have ever experienced.

Liked: Staff & serviceDisliked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilitiesThe location is perfectly outside of, and between, The French Quarter and Frenchman Street. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The pool and hot tub were great to unwind after a long day of walking/sightseeing. The property was in a quiet area. The building itself is quintessentially New Orleans charming. We stayed in a standard room which was fine for us but be forewarned, it was tiny. The standard room and some of the common areas could use some repairs and attention, don't expect a five star accommodation and it's easy to love this place. One of the housekeepers did let us look in one of the nicer rooms and it was much more impressive, and more "New Orleans" too! laissez le bon temps rouler!Rooms: We stayed in a standard room which was fine for us but be forewarned, it was tiny. ATTENTION Definitely do not leave anything of value in your rooms!! Item ls in your rooms are not safe from the shady housekeepers that are employed here. I check in at 1:00 am the night before left for the day the following day to return to my room being ran sacked and my husbands gold chain missing. We did not intentionally leave the chain behind, but either way we should not have had to worry about our items being taken while out of the room. The manager Brenda was very rude and basically told me it was my fault for not putting the chain in the safe. She proceed to say housekeeping went in to clean the room but didn’t find anything in there. Which is absurd because my beds were stripped of sheets and the room was a mess which is not how I left the room. So if they went in to clean why was it still a trashed mess? A mess I didn’t leave? Then she refused to give me her bosses name and number or the information of someone higher up that I could try to speak to and hung up on me. I made a police report about the incident and will proceed with legal action. DONT GO THRERE WITH ANYTHING OF VALUE. Unless you you want it to be stolen.

Gorgeous historical hotel! Private parking behind the courtyard. Walking distance to tons of nearby establishments, bars, restaurants and shopping! Right on the outskirts of the French Quarter. I recommend Port of Call, which is 2 small blocks (guesstimate 700ft) on same main street.
