Room has no heat, and the air conditioning is very loud. They have very firm and high pillows, really causing neck issues.Follow up: asked for help to fix the AC. No one came and there is still no heat tonight.

I felt the room was quite humid, and AC in the room was not working properly. I got cold because it was too cold although I set it as 78 degrees. It stayed 71 for the whole time 4nights and only let cold air came out. I tried all options to try heater.. never worked. I was too tired every night, so didn't even get chance to ask for change.

Everything about my stay at the intercontinental exceeded my expectations! The check in was smooth, daily housekeeping service which was great (and not the case in all hotels). We had a fantastic room with a balcony and amazing view. The hotel is in a great area close to the main attractions in New Orleans. They stored luggage after we checked out before our flight. Every single staff member we experienced through the stay, from the doorman to the concierge, was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in New Orleans!Rooms: Spacious room with comfortable beds and everything you could need. Only thing to be aware of is the mini fridge you can’t put your own belongings in (it’s stocked)

This was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at, and I’ve stayed at a lot. I booked this hotel for a conference I was attending. I reserved my room through the conference, at a “special discounted rate.” A few days prior to arriving, on a whim, I went online to check the prices of the room through Google. The rooms were $70 cheaper per night than what I paid. When I arrived at the hotel I asked the staff about it and they told me I was paying more because I was attending the conference and had to pay extra for the conference to be held at their hotel. Like what?? I paid $1800 to attend the conference, and then was supposed to fund the conference itself??The room was outdated and dark, the front desk staff were cold and inhospitable, when I turned on the air conditioner it made a really loud banging noise every 20 minutes that kept waking me up from sleep (this went on for the 4 days I was there). On my last day the hot water stopped working so I couldn’t shower. How is this a 4 star hotel???

I try to stay at an Intercontinental whenever I travel as much as possible. The one in Miami is amazing. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about this location. The employees just acted like they did not want to be here. I had to witness an employee at the bar (who I believe is the manager) belittle a new bartender that she was training. She also made a comment about my sisters abs our father, implying that we were all his sugarbabies and he was our sugar daddy. To top off the stay, on our last night, around 3:30am, we get a call on the intercom saying hello, three times and letting everyone aware that it was safe to come back inside the building. We were shocked because we were never even told to leave the building! In panic, I called the front desk to ask what happened and the front desk girl said there was a fire scare. I asked her why were we not told to leave the building, she brushed off my question and said everything was fine now and she hung up the phone. This was probably the worst and dangerous trip of my life.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional hotel, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The hotel room was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the immaculate cleanliness and the modern, tasteful decor. The room was spacious, well-lit, and featured all the amenities one could hope for.But what truly set this experience apart was the outstanding room service. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and taken care of. They were not only prompt but also incredibly friendly and attentive. And let's talk about the food! The dining experience was a culinary delight. The menu offered a diverse range of dishes to suit every palate, and the quality of the food was absolutely top-notch. Each meal was a mouthwatering masterpiece, and I couldn't get enough of it.The combination of a luxurious room and exceptional room service with delectable food made this stay an unforgettable one. I can't recommend this hotel enough, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. It's a true gem for anyone seeking a memorable and relaxing getaway.

I was at this hotel for a business trip. The hotel is nice and quiet for being located downtown. The rooms were reasonably comfortable and had a nice bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and the AC worked well. Nice walking distance to some great tourist attractions.Nearby activities: This hotel is a nice walking distance from the French Quarter. It is a straight shot to Royal Street where many antique stores are.

Location was three blocks outside of the French Quarter so quieter and much newer building. Front desk staff (Josie and Cindy) were most helpful and made great restaurant suggestions. Breakfast staff at Pete's were all-stars. We LOVED our breakfasts. We also walked to the WWII museum and Riverfront easily. HIGHLY recommended.

My first time staying at the Intercontinental was great. The front desk staff was so helpful with our stay. Breakfast for the conference was great. The rooms were clean and sanitized well. Definitely will stay here again.

Centrally located. But as soon as I got in my room I found a bug on my pillow. I thought I was being pranked. I placed it on a napkin and left a note for house keeping and also mentioned it in my check out survey. This was weeks ago and no one from the hotel has contacted me.I didn't see another one and everything else was as expected and up to standards. We were able to secure a wonderful price and that was great!

We had an issue checking in, but it was due to 3rd party booking. Once in room, the room is decent size, but the beds are uncomfortable, and the pillows sank in. There is no microwave. A fridge is in the room but filled with their items, so no fridge either. No free breakfast. The location was decent, the guys working the door and valet was always refreshing to see, with their smiles. There are several restaurants on the property. Nice hotel with a few changes would be great.

Great hotel. Great atmosphere with decorations really fits into NO area. They had issues with point of sale system. You could charge to room. They charge you 3 bucks for hot tea. This is normally complimentary. It felt like the wait for an elevator was faster than normal hotels.Rooms: Spacious, clean rooms. Updated rooms.Walkability: Easy 10 min walk to Bourbon street.

Had a corner room with a "window" facing someone else's balcony that let in barely any light, making the room super dark despite turning on all the lights. If sensitive to scents, advise bringing your own toiletries if you don't already since the products they provide are pretty strongly scented. Staff helpful and location made it easy to any public transportation.

Older well maintained property. More of a classic style but very comfortable. However, the staff are unrivaled - they can’t do enough for you. As a Platinum member, they offered me free breakfast buffet every day (unexpected but highly appreciated), but they also had a fruit plate, snacks and 2 bottles of Fuji water sent to my room upon arrival and another plate during my stay (still here). The breakfast servers are all amazing and have a welcome smile every day, and front desk and concierge staff are also outstanding. Very impressive.

I'm a little late posting this review as it has been over a month since I stayed there. I travel a lot and normally book hotel rooms well in advance and got an amazing deal on this place. I was impressed when I pulled up. Great service from the moment we arrived. We were there 30 days, and we ate at the on-site restaurant at least 10 times. The gym was great and never crowded. The pool is right next to the gym. There is so much to do in the area. The room was very neat and clean. My one complaint is that the TV would not connect sometimes. Other than that I have nothing bad to say about this place. I will be staying again.Nearby activities: Casino. Mall. Stores and restaurants everywhere. There may even be more casinos in the area, but I only went to the one. I don't play much, so I didn't look for any other casinos.Safety: The area felt very safe. We walked places even after midnight and never felt in danger.Walkability: There is so much in the area. It's not far from Canal or Bourbon. So many good places to eat. There is a mall not too far, maybe 3 blocks, next to the river. And there is a casino down the street from the mall.Food & drinks: There is a restaurant in the lobby area, the seafood was my favorite and we went often. They do serve alcohol, but I don't drink.
