I messaged the shop and got a very quick reply from Flex, the owner about his availability, and we were able to come up with an appointment for the following day. I was nervous because it was my second and it was mostly on my ribcage, but he was patient and kind. My friends and I left there laughing, and had two awesome tattoos to show for it.
Already planning on my next one, and will definitely be returning (better snack bag options next time).

Clean and approachable tattoo shop. Worked with my design and placement until it was what I wanted. I would suggest booking in advance in order to get in, however they do offer walk ins. Flex was gentle and nice compared to other tattoo artists I’ve encountered at other shops. Recommend!!

I can’t say enough good things about this shop. I’m from atlanta, I’ve been to this shop two times. Amber did my first tattoo last year and she was amazing.. she has since moved so I impulsively was in town and decided to get another tattoo, Chloe immediately responded to my message.. took my design and made it even better than I could imagine.
Everything is super clean, super professional. Chloe was so nice, the conversation was awesome. I never felt awkward or weird it was like talking to an old friend. Any time I’m back in town I’m definitely coming back.

Awesome experience! We were actually on our way to another shop for a walk-in and happened to pass by and decided to go to this shop instead, AND IT WAS SO WORTH IT! The staff was so warm and friendly. Chloe was our artist and she did a phenomenal job on our tattoos and made our experience one to remember. Whenever I manage to come back to NOLA, I will 100% choose this shop (and already referred them to others) . If you're considering any tattoo shop in New Orleans, this is the one!
Cleanliness: The shop was so clean and nice. Definitely tattoo shop vibes but far better than others I've been to
Stylist: Chloe was our artist and she did an amazing job on our matching tattoos, and our chosen designs were executed flawlessly

Super grateful to Josh for a fantastic experience. I love his work, and booked a spot during a Mardi Gras trip. Due to a miscommunication on my end, he had to redraw my design while I was there and was really kind about it - and the design he came back with was just perfect. I had a terrible experience with my last tattoo (NYC - totally unrelated) and Josh went out of his way to troubleshoot that for me (blowout and scarring) and made sure to explain everything he was doing, which was comforting. My tattoo healed perfectly, the color and linework is amazing, and I absolutely love looking at my arm. Will definitely be back! Truly cannot recommend him more. The shop also has a great vibe - very clean and bright, friendly people.

After doing research on the best tattoo parlors in New Orleans, I emailed Flex at Idle Hands to talk about setting up an appointment during my time in town. He got back with me promptly & let me know a few details including making a deposit to secure my appointment. Flex set me up with Chloe for my permanent souvenir. She was professional & friendly. She drew up my tattoo & resized it a couple times until it was to my liking. I was very happy with the outcome. Very clean lines. She went over healing instructions & also sent me home with a card which included the instructions. I definitely recommend Idle Hands. The shop is clean. They do accept walk ins, but I suggest making an appointment, if possible. Thank you, Chloe & Idle Hands!

In town for a convention with my bff and went to Idle Hands, Flex was amazing-very patient, easy to talk to, made sure we liked what he did. Shop was clean and inviting. Would recommend without reservations to anyone considering getting a tattoo!

Best tattoo shop in Nola!! Whole place is super clean, and they go above and beyond to make sure of that. Everyone in the shop is extremely skilled and very personable. It’s beyond evident how much they care about the facility and their customers. They produce the highest quality art, and work with customers to make sure they walk out with exactly what they wanted!I simply cannot speak highly enough of Flex, and his team. If you’re in town for a week, or if you live here, go visit Idle Hands and get some ink!!
