From the moment I got there it was heaven. Luxury and quaint at the same time. Mike was most helpful in giving me places of interest to see. Will definitely be back.

This hotel is definitely one not to miss. I read the reviews before booking on Expedia and our stay was better than the best review. The staff was accommodating and welcoming. The hotel was spotless. The maid service was spot on. The location is perfect for a New Orleans location. Bourbon Street was right there yet the hotel was amazingly quiet. I am a pretty discerning person and I was completely impressed. I will be back to New Orleans and this will be the hotel of choice. Thank you. I work hard and I really needed this experience at this point in my life.Rooms: Rooms spotless and well kept throughout the trip.Nearby activities: Everything is nearby.Safety: Doormen day and night.Walkability: Bourbon Street is right there. Steps away. Near great music and great food.Noteworthy details: The staff made you feel like royalty. The hotel was so clean. I remember looking at the hallway rugs and feeling like they were brand new. Just a class act from beginning to end.

Wedding ceremony and reception for our daughter were here. We spent three nights in one of the most exceptional hotels that I have ever experienced. Nothing but smiles on the staff, and the restaurants/bars were superb.Walkability: Located in the Quarter within an easy walk of all of the common attractions and famous restaruants and bars.Food & drinks: Carousel Bar - usually full, yes, but a place that you should experience. The bartenders are superb, friendly, and attentive. The selection at the Criolo Bar is a bit more diverse.Noteworthy details: Event planners here were invaluable and easily accessible.

Aside from feeling like I was staying in a fancy 100 sq ft studio/tin box, we were overall happy with the room. But beware - there's a reason the hotel doesn't list the square footage of the traditional or preferred rooms (but they do for the royal and superior rooms) on their website. The standard rooms are TINY. Like, probably one of the smallest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. It made me feel a little claustrophobic.Otherwise, the hotel staff were friendly and it was great having the carousel bar right below us. The hotel was perfectly located - just a few blocks from Bourbon Street and the river.

Only issues were no microwaves and slow internet. With that said its a very good place to stay. Excellent service. Clean environment. No need for car because your in the center of everything needed.

Have frequented New Orleans and visited the Carousel Bar many times however this was my first time actually staying at the hotel and was thoroughly impressed with the property and service. As a fellow hotelier, I've stayed at many properties however there are only a handful that standout due to the employees and experience and this was one of them. From the ease of check-in at the front desk to the helpfulness of the bellman (King) getting our many items up to our room, to Mr. Nolan in the bag check room who made a lasting impression on my girls (5-star service) and even to the housekeeping staff who assisted after my departure as I had to call due to leaving one of my girls tablets in the room and they helped arrange shipping to get it returned (the fact that they even found it and had record of it was a sigh of relief as leaving items behind in a hotel does not always produce the same results. I'm so very grateful for their honesty). The property itself is beautiful and located in the heart of the French Quarter. Love the history and elegance of the building. It truly feels like you are stepping back in time but in a beautiful, tasteful manner. The only wish we had for our room was that the bed sizes were queens versus doubles as it can be a little cramped traveling/sharing with little ones. Also would have been a plus to have a microwave as we had tons of tasty leftovers that we couldn't reheat. We were also right in front of the ice machine which was a bit loud and disruptive throughout the evening.Location speaks for itself. Close/walking distance to everything in French Quarter. Being so close to Bourbon and all the bars can allow for some noise throughout the evening hours but that is much expected and wasn't much of a nuisance. The only real complaint I have is with the valet. Obviously being in a prime location can make things a little squirrelly but it was a bit more chaotic that I was expecting. Upon arriving Friday the garage entrance for valet had a sign for arrivals to go to the main entrance so we did but there was no spot for me to pull in to get assistance so had to circle a few times due to the street being tiny/one way. Finally was able to catch someone leaving and snagged a spot and they were able to get us situated but they seemed to be short staff on accepting cars at that spot which was a little inconvenient. Saturday when I took my car out to sight see, the valet employee told me to just come back directly to the garage entrance upon my return (not to the front entrance as before) however when I did the employee working in the garage at that time told me that was incorrect and that I needed to pull around. When I explained what I was told from the previous employee and showed him certain parking vouchers I had, he was very confused and concerned saying since I had these vouchers my car wasn't even in the system, etc. He ended up taking my car anyways at the garage entrance and we were able to get it parked. Upon departure, Mr. Nolan assisted with getting my car requested and there were no issues.Overall our stay was pleasant and other than the valet, I would highly recommend for anyone wanting an exceptional experience in the French Quarter.

**Just changed my 2 stars to a 1. After waiting 30+ minutes for our vehicle, they finally get out down to us. We hurry and go get in only for them to park 3 MORE CARS in front of us!! There's another 20 minutes waiting for these other people to get all their stuff in their cars & pull out. NOT COMING BACK*My husband brought me for a weekend trip and put a lot of effort for this overpriced place. They act like getting your vehicle is no big deal and "just call down & we'll get it for you." Not true. And the women working the valet desk won't even answer the phone. Only to get there & they're both sitting there texting & taking with each other. They don't greet you & won't even try to be polite. The concierge told us that we wouldn't need a reservation for the restaurant. That we could just go in and be seated. So we planned our whole evening expecting to be able to have easy dinner plans. Not the case for that either. Turns out people put reservations on for that WAY in advance. Overall, it was a nice one time place to stay if you want to be in the middle of the Quarter. Other than that, over-rated. Way over-rated.Noteworthy details: Plan ahead for eating and getting your vehicle.

The best experience ever. I have never experienced such service in my entire life. From parking, to doorman, host, check in, concierge, New Orleans finest. Why stay anywhere else? Royal regal treatment even with a packed hotel. My dog and husband have not been the same since we returned home.Nearby activities: Everything you want to try in New Orleans is steps away.Food & drinks: Everywhere. The Bloody Mary I'd the best

Great location, attractively furnished. The bars and restaurants are very nice and the staff is great.Bed had floor lights that came on in the dark via a motion sensor. My side came on randomly & woke me up repeatedly. I put a bathrobe by the bed to stop it. And a bathroom light that cant be turned off & a ceiling sensor that flashes blue if you move.
