We had a 2 bedroom suite for a week in 10/23. It looked nothing like the photos on their site. The rooms are very dated. The couch cushions were so old they were hard to get up from because they buckled. The chairs looked like they were from a yard sale, as did the table. The kitchen counter was so tiny, there was no room to put even a cup down. The fridge is tiny. The microwave is newer. The 2 burner stove top had 1 heating element which was popping out. The master bedroom had a very small tv on a dresser behind the door. The mattress was possibly the worst we've ever slept on. Seriously, we were up & down all night each night because our backs (no back problems) were killing us. The 2nd bedroom had no window & was so tiny, only 1 nightstand fit. It was possibly a converted closet. The bed wasn't long enough for an adult & the mattress was equally horrible. The hot water heater for the shower doesn't hold enough for 3 morning showers, at all. It was clean, at least. The staff was helpful, though for booking tours. The location is great, just outside of the French Quarter. We'd stay there again if we got a room which was a whole lot better because the price was good. I'd look for better alternatives first, though.

The service:I arrived while it was storming out, and had booked online so I had a room waiting on me. The front door however is locked, the person behind the service desk can see me and speaking to me through a small speaker. However, they cannot hear me over the torrential rain that I’m standing in. Although I had a room they left me standing in the rain for an absurd amount of time because they were afraid to unlock the door. (I assume they keep the doors locked at all times because of the drunks/homeless in the area)The room:I rented the room because it listed and in the room jacuzzi. Upon inspection the Jacuzzi tub is this song is a very large Tupperware and impossible to relaxing. To compound the problem The room does not have enough hot water to even feel the small tub up to its first Jacuzzi Jets. That makes it all that useless.Avoid this place. The price is well and that’s for a good reason.Service poor room quality also subpar.

Delilah...Trinell...Susan...Katherine..Steve. These are the names behind the scenes who make the hotel what it is. Delilah saved the day by getting a toy duck that decided to fly from my son's hands to the 3rd story balcony above the terrace, and having it the next day for my daughter. She also included another toy duck she had. My daughter was so happy. The renovations are amazing. No more musty smell. Hardwood/laminate floors, new paint, and furniture make it feel like a better experience. The location of the hotel is phenomenal. Still an older hotel. Some little cleaning of the ceiling vents is needed especially over the bedroom we had. We were considering selling our unit but after this stay we will hold on to it. Thank you to the amazing staff who made our yearly vacation memorable. Can't wait for next year.

The only good things about this place are the location and being LGBTQ friendly. The staff acts like you are bothering them, in person, and on the phone. Never made it to a room because they were so rude.

One of my favorite spots on the quiet side of the French Quarter and right onto Frenchman St. The condos have nice deep jacuzzi tubs for the 3 cold baths you need while here, living rooms, a stocked kitchenette, and nice bedrooms with closet. The bed and pillows are comfy. There is a public parking lot right behind the hotel that is $29 a day which is the going rate for parking at any other hotel and its relatively easier to get a spot in off Decatur Street as the parking garage isnt a great fot for larger vehicles. They do have a pool, self laundry mat, a library, and 2nd floor balcony/smoke deck. You are super close to The French Market, Jackson Square, Royal Street, Cafe du Monde, and Landry's Seafood. Great for slipping in and out of the action.

Well, Well what a great location!HDLM is close to so many places such as Frenchmen St (neworleans.com/plan/stre…) read up on the history of it, as well as the famed Jackson Square and Cafe du Monde'.Nothing like walking the area of Marigny (Mar-un-Knee) to see the vintage and quaint houses, some which have tours or open houses avaiable. While many of the places have food and music, I suggest breakfast at least once be had at the Ruby Slipper Cafe (rubybrunch.com), and a lunch or dinner at Marigny Brasserie (marignybrasserie.com).As this is a rare location in NOLA, it is having unit upgrades done now through end of 2023.Give it a look or consider a 3 night stay to find your own vibe and fun.hdlmsale.square.site

Perfect location, close enough to all of French Quarter while also being a little bit away from all the loud noise. Service was so nice and helped us at all times. We had a two bedroom and one of the rooms was tiny, but I mean you're not usually in New Orleans to hang out in your room. So much fun!!

Lovely hotel! The people who work at the desk are so great and friendly. I left a sandal there and they called to tell me and are even mailing it to me! The hospitality is so refreshing and I 100% recommend :)

Honestly if I could give 0 stars I would. The lady at the front desk is always so rude and stuck up, we've been coming for a while now because we think the hotel is just so beautiful, but unfortunately I won't be doing any sort of business anymore with them. First off the lady at the front desk told me to just book & pay with Hotels.com(or a different 3rd party) for every night I'd like to extend the room, there was a $50 deposit for each night I had stayed because it was a new reservation each day. The lady said I'd get it back. I stayed (May 14, May 15, May 16, May 17, and May 18) it's been almost a month! I've been calling everywhere trying to get $250 back! NOT TO MENTION they don't do any sort of cleaning your room up, AND IF THEY DO CLEAN YOUR ROOM ITS $10!!??? SO when u called the hotel asking for my deposit she said IT WAS FOR A CLEANING FEE?? $250 for a CLEANING FEE? AFTER YOU SAID ID GET IT BACK? No I had the manager bring me the chemicals and vacuum and I CLEANED THE ROOM MYSELF SO WHAT CLEANING FEE?!! Not worth a dime, they're a scam, when there's thousands of hotels who offer breakfast, upgraded rooms, room service, AND cleaning services for lower.

Pros: Location!!!It was nice to have a kitchenette. There was a large mini fridge, microwave, sink and small stove. They also have cups, silverware, bowls, pans so you could cook but it would be tough. Mac and cheese, grilled cheese, hotdogs etc... Easy stuff to save $$$ or for the picky eaters.I had the 1 bedroom. The room was dated but clean. It was like a tiny apartment but strangely shaped... Tiny hallway was 1 person at a time. It's fine for 2 adults and younger children or maybe 2 couples but you best be cool sharing a small space. Highly advise just getting the 2 bedroom suite in that case. TV worked but were small but I rarely use them when I am in a hotel... My kid watched cartoons and was happy with it.Cons: Not many. For the price, location and service it was money well spent but for people with bedding needs or noise sensitivity these are my comments:Bed was not comfortable. My first time in NoLa I slept on a concrete floor... I can no longer do that. These beds were way better than that...but I felt they were hard & felt every movement. Probably plenty good for drunk sleep so you can get out there and do everything again the next night. However I have a lot more miles on these joints now. After multiple days walking and a lot of time spent on my feet in the quarter, going to the Zoo etc, I really started to miss my own bed.Second thing is noise. I am not very noise sensitive, I can fall back asleep easily but it's worth mentioning there were some night noises. The AC was fairly normal, maybe a little loud but at least consistent noise and maybe covers up some other noises. Our room was top floors on the side facing the jazz museum. I couldn't hear any music & I know the bar a couple blocks away was going loud so that's good. The train is nearby and I know at least one night it was blowing its horn for awhile, loud enough to wake me but not my kid in the livingroom. The most annoying thing was because the wall was all glass going into the court yard and there are palm trees in the courtyard there was a really windy night and the palmtree kept loudly scraping the window all night. Even I had a hard time with that. I think that might be a room secific thing because I was on the top level right by a tree top. Hopefully they trim them closer to summer.Rooms: Pros: It was nice to have a kitchenette. There was a large mini fridge, microwave, sink and small stove. Location is hard to say because it's conveniently located and your Frenchman Street. However, it's also located right next to the port and train depot. So all night long you have trains blowing their horns. There's also a club next door that went from a jazz club to more of a hip hop club music is extremely loud. The crowds they attract have cars with giant speakers on them and they're all playing a different sound to 3:30 in the morning. The hotel is an older hotel so although the rooms are clean, they're heavily worn and aged

The only reason I'm posting a less favorable review is because I believe a lot of the rave reviews on Yelp/Google are by part owners who want to boost business. (Disclaimer: I could be wrong, just my sense.)There are a lot of posters at the hotel advertising that it is a timeshare, which we didn't know going in. And that might be fine except it is a very run down, far from ideal place to stay. I unfortunately got duped by the aforementioned high reviews. The room was dingy, smelled strongly of mold, had bent flimsy black blinds, a shower with limited hot water, and one of the creakiest, most rickety beds I've ever slept on.I'm not too picky about hotels/motels in general, but the room really gave me an uncomfortable vibe. I do give them props for having a decent (though loud) air conditioner, satisfactory toiletries, and the towels and bedding seemed clean. Also, the front desk person was pleasant. Great location, so no issues there. In walking distance to many great bars, nightclubs, and eateries. If you don't mind sorta dingy settings and a room that smells like a dive bar, it honestly might be okay for you. Just know what you're getting into first.

This is a nice hotel located conveniently down the street from all the bars and Frenchman Street. Gets a little loud at night between the train going by and partiers. It's an older building so it's has some wear and tear, but it has a very nice courtyard on the second floor and a balcony. The staff is very friendly, very helpful. Price to stay is very reasonable and we needed a two-bedroom unit.

I just tried to check in at this place and it was a nightmare! On 2/17.2020 around 2:30 pm. This hotel is beautiful but the management quality is the absolute worse!!!!! Even the GENERAL MANAGER WAS A LIAR, He did not have a plan and did not follow up on his promise to accommodate and relocate. Did not offer food vouchers or anything.Paid almost $500 for a room for one night. Their partner a 3rd party named VRBO/ VACAY HOME CONNECT but did take my money do the booking 2 months in advance. They had no record of a booking, and kept apologizing but never made the situation right. I sat in the car with a 4-year-old for 5 hours believing the lie that they would relocate us. THEY NEVER DID!!!!! ROGER THAT WORKS FOR VRBO is a horrible representative! This was the worse trip ever and the only thing I will remember is POOR COMMUNICATION at the DE LA MONNAIE
