So, my realtor (Whitney Harrel) informed of this lovely and quaint postal store in the French Quarter. The staff were welcoming and kind and did explain how their system works in detail. Now, having read some of the 1-star reviews, I feel I need to defend my neighborhood postal store. First, the majority of the complaints either did not listen, from overseas, have unreal expectations and the one who said arrived at 5:58 (your watch) and I know if the person called and said hey, I will be there at or a tad after 6pm, someone would have waited. So, don't be on your phone when in line or at counter, be nice you never know what others may be experiencing. The French Quarter has one rule, 'Be Nice or Go Home'. So big hugs and thanks to the staff at the French Quarter Postal Emporium, I appreciate ya'll bunches!!! And yes, I highly recommend them!!

I would stear clear of this postal office if you want your packages to make it safe. The last 4-5 packages I've mailed out of there have arrived damaged beyond repair. The team there is borderline rude and don't seem to really care to be there with flat energy or enthusiasm. Go to USPS or the main carrier direct.

Fast and efficient staff. Mail drop off and they hold packages. They also sell all kinds of admiral related supplies and New Orleans Knick knacks. It's nice to have an option outside of going downtown or over to Poland Avenue.

I've used them twice now in 2 vacations. Friendly, professional, and my precious souvenirs always make it home without damage! What else do you want?

Travel disaster! As we entered to ship our small item (less than $50) home, we said we wanted to ship the LEAST EXPENSIVE way. Proprietor handed us shipping materials & asked us to do it ourselves (no problem). When she totaled up the shipping box (twice the size we needed) shipping exceeded the price of the item. Our bad for not insisting on a price first. Her bad for showing exactly ZERO customer service in assisting us w/what we asked for when we first arrived. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I have been a customer for 10 years.
I call to say and apologize about arriving at 6pm the latest and that sorry for being last minute. The lady says I’m closing at 6
I get there at 5:58 and nobody there. Y’all packed up already. And now I can’t get my package for the next two weeks because I’m leaving for work reason.
Then don’t say that you close at 6pm
We all struggling with a working schedule.
The whole point that we Chet packages deliver to you is because we can rely on you.
Then be honest and say that you would like to close the door earlier.
Come on

Local resident for thirteen years and customer for more than four years. No problems. Enjoy the convenience and security. Sorry for those reporting problems; it simply mismatches my experience by a long shot.
