I'm not usually one to leave reviews, but in this case, I'm struggling to keep my praise below novel-length! I have visited Rachel at Fifi's three times for myself, and once for my "bonus kid." Each time, we came to Rachel with complicated hair problems and grand ideas regarding what we actually wanted. In the kiddo's case, I'm talking permanent black box dye layered over faded pink and blue. In my case, it was years of self-applied creative colors (and poorly-done at-home bleach jobs to accommodate them). We were both absolute messes...but Rachel never missed a beat. Through each visit, she remained friendly and professional throughout the entire long and complicated color correction process, and then she gave us both hair that exceeded our wildest dreams. Six months later, the kiddo still regularly talks about how cool Rachel is, and how her new hair helped give her confidence while facing some major challenges at school. As for me, I left with an Aurora Borealis on my head! It was so cool, I skipped the Uber and walked home - just so I could toss my hair in the wind like I was in a Revlon commercial. I'm not normally someone who feels particularly attractive, but once Rachel was done with me, I felt absolutely gorgeous. So...yeah. Her prices are reasonable (especially considering the level of service provided!), her work is amazing, and she's just an absolute delight of a human being. So, if you're looking for creative color (or any kind of hair service, really), go see Rachel at Fifi's Bywater! Seriously...I can't recommend her strongly enough.

Fifi's is AMAZING!! Everyome was really helpful and nice. Due to an autoimmune reaction and medications, my hair dramatically thinned until I had to cut it very short (pixie cut short). While I am ok with the pixie cut, I miss my longer, filler hair. I had been trying to find a good wig at a reasonable price for quite sometime - Fifi's hit all the highlights. They brought me several to try, fit them to me, we played with parts and styles until I found *the one*. It looked so good and I felt so great in it that I wore it out of the shop! I was just so happy to feel more like myself. I can never say thank you enough!

I’ve had such high hopes for FiFi’s but after 3 tries it’s time to accept that they just do not have what I’m looking for. Don’t get me wrong they have a great selection of wigs for birthdays and bachelorettes but unless you’re ordering something custom, their wigs just are not performance quality.
Their sales team is great. Maybe a little too good because they always manage to talk me into buying a hairpiece even when they don’t have what I’m looking for.
Anyway… if you’re looking for a fun wig to wear at a party, FiFi’s has you covered. If you’re looking for something that’s worthy of the stage, you’re better off going to a real hair store.

I've had my eye on Fifi's for a long time. It looks as though it's a salon turned into shop which is so neat. We all known that amazing salon feeling when we're about to leave looking elevated! Not only would her wigs be a perfect fit for any day in Nola but they'd be fabulous for Mardi Gras season. Each year I try to spice up my parade costumes and I can always count on Fifi's for a show stopping wig, headpiece or accessories.

Classy, colorful, artful, innovative, quality wig store. I wish I could remember the name of the lovely lady who assisted us, but she was just a wonderful and helpful person clearly living her passion. This is a quality place so please be respectful and treat this store like the art galleries you respect on the rest of Royal.

I bought my sister a wig that she wanted and then I ended up going back and buying one for my bestie and I! The staff was uber helpful and went out of their way to help! I highly recommend checking them out!

One of my favorite shops in the Quarter! Took a friend the other day after I stopped in and bought a purple bob. She had a great experience. The salesperson was so helpful in making suggestions and bringing her wigs to try on. We had so much fun and she bought two wigs!
