The store is beautiful! The customer service was Ah-mazing!! I bought 3 things from here for my daughter for Christmas and she looooved all 3! The later gator door mat makes it feel like home. The street tile magnets are decorative and so much fun to play with and leave messages. The Nola bucket list book has brought many laughs and “ I’ve done that’s “. In a world where customer service barely exists anymore…Dirty Coast is an exceptional find! Love Love Love this store!! ??

One of my favorite stores! I'm always ordering online but had the opportunity to purchase in-store this past weekend while in town. Such amazing customer service and I love the store's values. Customer for life!

Let me tell you how much my life has improved since finding Dirty Coast and her amazing crew in the French Quarter. First, never will I ever have that "what do I get so and so for a gift?!" problem because Dirty Coast has something funky, eclectic, endearing and just plain COOL for everyone. And I emphasize everyone because their gifts, gear, art, socks, and souvenirs are also inclusive and connected to the NOLA community and that's downright special. Dirty Coast isn't just a store, it's a hub for humans to connect and it's a beautiful thing. And let me tell you about the people who bring this store to life. In a word: fabulous. It's no surprise that an enterprise so unique, funky and chic is upheld by good humans who reflect the spirit and genuineness of creative community and good will towards all. Everyone I've encountered in the store is not only super helpful and stellar at their job, but they're genuinely lovely to be around and make you feel welcome, like you belong. The manager at the French Quarter spot is top notch and she's a total bad a$$! Now get yourself on down to the Dirty Coast!

COVID-19 Review. My visit to Dirty Coast became one of my more memorable and favorite stories on the cross-country road trip my dear wife, children, mother, and I experienced this past December. So here it is: After an amazing lunch at Willie Mae's Scotch House, we decided to head to the French Quarter for our first taste of a beignet. My 5 year old son, who became a fan of sweet tea on this trip, took one of the 16 oz. sweet teas from the restaurant and drank the whole think on our short car ride from Willie Mae's to Cafe Du Monde. After enjoying our beignets, we wanted to take a quick stroll down Bourbon street before leaving New Orleans to Mobile. My son alerts us that he has to go pee. Really badly. Right now. Ugh. Really?! Okay... we're walking down Orleans street alongside a church and some buildings that weren't open. We get to the next street and it not only looked like there were no restaurants, we couldn't even tell if there was anything but gift shops! I start running towards one of them with him when my daughter stops us, pointing to a sign that says, "no customer bathrooms." Apparently we're not the only ones with this dilemma! I look to the other side of the street and see another gift shop open (Dirty Coast) and run in with my son. "Is there any way my son can use your restroom?! He's about to pee his pants!" The super chill guy shrugs and says, "yeah, just back there" and points to the bathroom. For a small store, it's small, but surprisingly clean and tastefully decorated. My son finishes his business and I take the opportunity as well. I come out and my wife, one of my daughters, and my mother also all need to use the restroom and super-chill guy is fine with it. I decided to buy something from this store since he was so kind to let us use the bathroom and then realized what a jackpot of a gift shop this is! So many cool t-shirts, socks, ties, etc. Not the usual garbage you find in gift shops at all. I have never owned a pair of socks that were fun and decided this was the day. I look through the various pairs when I stop on the God-destined pair I choose to purchase. Dark green socks with beignets and coffee cups. What a perfect pair of socks to commemorate this New Orleans experience. I buy them and LOVE them. (Wore them yesterday, actually!). There is nothing better than a souvenir with a story behind it and these socks were my favorite purchase of the whole trip. Louisiana will have a special place in my heart because of them.
