So fun and informative (and not to mention delicious!) My boyfriend was visiting New Orleans for the first time, and we wanted to try a cooking class together—I’m so glad we went with Chef Dee! She was so knowledgeable and made cooking a great time, even for two inexperienced chefs. We were lucky enough to be the only ones in class, so we got to be extra hands-on. The meal was excellent, and even as a New Orleans local, I learned a lot, thanks to Chef Dee and the museum tour. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I had a great time learning at Chef Dee's class! It ended up being just the two of us for our session, and Chef Dee was a wonderful and personable host despite our limited cooking knowledge. The recipes were clear to follow, and the end results were delicious. I cannot wait to attempt these dishes again at home! I would recommend this class for anyone interested in getting an authentic but approachable education in Louisiana cuisine.

An enjoyable, delicious and inspiring trip through the kitchen and history! Definitely a must-do. Chef Dee and Chef Tasha are knowledgeable and fun. They "learnt me somethin'" during that experience. ;-)

My visit to Deelightful Roux School of cooking was such an amazing experience. My kids and I were invited for a 9th birthday party and we were blown away! The kids prepped and cooked jambalaya from scratch, and it was DEELICIOUS!! Dee was a wonderful teacher and easy to work with. There is also a museum attached to the cooking school where there were a bunch of historic gems related to culinary art! Giving this place a 10 out of 10!

On Yesterday I had an opportunity to host my Daughter’s 9th Birthday!!. ?????(Chef’s Kiss) this experience for my little one and her friends will be one to remember. Chef Dee & Tasha was so patient and generous to our guest. From The option to be able to chose from menu items to prepare to the availability of the cutest museum upfront (with availability to include a scavenger hunt) made her DAY. Overall, I would highly recommend Deelightful Roux school of Cooking not only for kids, but for adults as well— the parents at some point also gave in their two scents and that’s when things got competitive ?LOL. I hope that in the future we’re able to return for play dates with friends or even another party.

Love,Love,Love! Went to a kids birthday party on yesterday and I had a great time along with my daughter.Chef Dee was amazing with the kids and the adults. They learned how to make Jambalaya and bananas foster! The museum in front is so cute as well. I will be returning for an adult evening with friends!

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed a Cajun cooking class taught by dynamic and talented Chef Dee and ably assisted by Chef Tasha of Deelightful Roux. The kitchen/dining space was bright and airy, and we all hopped right in to become sous chefs. Participating in the ingredient prep and cooking made the experience come alive. Enjoying the three-course meat we all helped prepare was our delicious reward! While the maque choux with tasso, and chicken and andouille gumbo cooked, our group was invited to go the bar in the adjacent museum and shop for an interesting history of absinthe while enjoying cocktails made with this delicious and storied spirit. I highly recommend this delightful immersion in Cajun cooking at Deelightful Roux.

The most amazing cooking class I’ve ever taken. This was very hands-on and super fun. It was also very easy even if you are a beginner I think this is a great class. I’m hoping that she does a tour in travel around to other cities because this was a great experience.

Me and my family decided to take the cooking and it was AMAZING! Chef Dee and her team were super friendly! The place was nice and clean all we had to do was show up and listen. I would definitely take this class again ! ?
