If I could give a rating of zero or minus zero, I would. I hired David Dillard through his then-company "HistoricProjects of New Orleans" to furnish the material and labor to deconstruct my home that had been damaged in Hurricane Katrina. Under the contract, all applications and negotiations were to be handled by him. After paying him in excess of the contracted amount (as he claimed that expenses had increased), he failed to use those monies to pay his subcontractors. Subsequently, these subcontractors came after me for payment. Eventually, I was forced to take Dillard to court where I received a Judgment in my favor. To date, he has paid NOTHING on this claim. The court issued a lien in my favor on his house (noted on this Google business listing as his place of business). However, the house was sold at a foreclosure auction in February 2018 with all proceeds going to other larger claimants who were owed monies by Dillard. To date, I still have a Judgment against him, but no offer to pay said Judgment on his part. I would suggest that anyone seeking to do business with him be forewarned.
