A friend of mine bought two large mask from this store and hung them on her wall. The mask are magnificent. I admired them for years and couldn't wait to get one for my home. When I flew down from Seattle, this was my first stop. To my disappointment, the store clerk/manager/owner was rude. I felt rushed and I unwelcome. I did make a purchase but regret that I spent my money in this place. Kindness still matters to some of us. If you shop there, I hope your experience is better than mine.

Absolutely stunning mask!!!! I have been traveling to New Orleans for many years and have purchased many masks. I was in absolute awe at the quality, custom masks their store on Chartres St in the French Quarter, had to offer. I literally could not leave New Orleans without contacting the store and stating, I had to have that mask. They shipped it to me at a more than reasonable cost and it's going up on my wall tonight. I do have to say, the pics do not do it justice. If you're in the Big Easy looking for a custom, handmade mask, this is the place to go to!

I always stop in and buy my masks for gifts and decorating here. If you plan on being elaborate for Mardi Gras, this is an affordable and fun shop to get a mask.

The masks are stunning. But I doubt that all of them are hand made as they claim. I bought a mask here, and I found it less than half price with a label of "made in china" in another store on Royal St. I think that they change some things of the masks, and that may overhaul them, but I don't believe that they are made from scratch.
