Great shop. Very clean and well organIzed. Check out as many of the stores and do comparison shopping. Each one has their own unique items and most carry pralines and Cafe Du Monde products.

Nice shop for spices but do not purchase cafe du monde products - turns out they are 2x the price of what they cost at cafe du monde store around the block.

The employees are so nice. The store is filled with Louisiana Creole delicacies like chocolate pecans and praline's. They even were willing to help me with my Creole accent. I only wanted something decadent but I'll be back and experiment more.

Small gift shop overlooking Jackson Square. If you're looking for a food gift or souvenir, this would be the place to buy one. If you're looking for king cake or anything that isn't shelf stable, you're out of luck. If you're looking for jams, hot sauce, pralines or Cafe Du Monde coffee or beignet mix they have it, along with an assortment of candies. Again, a tour guide told us that all of the general souvenir shops in the French Quarter are owned by the same family, so most of the items here can be found at all the other shops in the area.

I love postcards, and always send them to friends and family when I travel. I'm not sure if postcard printing has suffered like everything else in the pandemic that shall not be named, but I had been having the hardest time finding them. Fortunately, I went to Creole Delicacies, and they had a whole rack of pretty, reasonably priced cards with a lot of variety. I recommend highly for your postcard needs!

This shop was so cute and is right by Jackson Square. They had quite the variety of items - pecans, jerky, hot sauce, seasonings, masks, voodoo dolls, pralines, magnets, keychains, etc. I came back twice to pickup a few souvenirs and snacks to try for family and friends. Lots of fun to browse. The bourbon praline pecans were very yummy and I even found a piece of 100% alligator jerky to try, which was neat because most of the others I saw had beef mixed in.

I've been buying Creole Delicacies' pralines for over three decades now -- they're just about the best pralines in the nation, IMHO. The Bourbon variety? My favorite -- and I usually detest Bourbon in just about anything. (Isn't that odd?) The website linked here on Yelp needs to be updated; this is the correct URL: creoledelicacies.com/home Enjoy!

If there's anything that screams tourist in NOLA. it's shopping in the French Quarter. If one's gotta do it, then Creole Delicacies Gourmet Shop is a good place to start. It is situated among a stretch of shops and restaurants in the proximity of Jackson Square. They might be a small store, but they managed to pack a good number of things that are perfect for gift buying, especially of the food kind. Upon first glance, most will find the typical stuff in souvenir stores like trinkets, magnets, postcards, and posters but dig a little deeper and one will find plateware, children's gifts, hot sauces, seasonings, and cookie jars. There are quite a few unique items here, some of which are probably not available anywhere else. One such item is their infamous pralines, which is made by them and perhaps their biggest specialty. Knowing how popular they are, I knew I had to get a box. I ended up buying several and gifted them to folks who would enjoy a piece of Louisiana. For myself, I found the pralines to be perfectly sweet with just the right amount of crispy. They're addicting, but I imagine anything with enough sugar, butter, cream would be. The next few boxes I'm buying will probably be just for myself. I bought a few other things that included mugs, some cafe du monde beignet mix packs, and a fun apron. Prices are about what one would expect for a store like this and they have an online store as well, which is perfect during pandemic times. I love that they're family owned and operated; definitely looking forward to paying them a visit again.
