Beautiful hotel in a strategic position, with attention to design and impact. The room is equally pleasant with captivating details that recall the style seen at the entrance. Some details have been taken care of at an almost obsessive level (see the little fabric bag where the spare toilet paper roll is stored or, in the same style, the little bag containing the hairdryer), while others have been left out, such as the excessive accumulation of limescale on one of the 2 taps, the toilet paper holder is wobbly and there is a bit of accumulation of dust around the floor.
Ultimately beautiful hotel with. beautiful rooms.
I reserve the right to update the review after the first night as an "electro-mechanical" noise can be heard from our room which recurs with a certain frequency and which could be annoying...
After 3 nights I can say that this "noise" tends to be less frequent at night and acceptable for non-light sleepers.

Noteworthy details: Beautiful architecture! Old brick and hardwood floors. Nice and clean. Staff were very welcoming. Within walking distance to major attractions.

This was a disappointing experience. The picture below is a view out of the only window in the room on a sunny day; no natural light at all. They also sprayed weird smells throughout the hotel and room which was off-putting. The location is great but I expected much more given the price.Edit: "Lightwell Windows" implies that some light will be visible, it was completely dark all day long.

The hotel was decent! Nice charm, and good atmosphere. However, our room was located directly outside of the night club across the street and it was SO LOUD. Good luck getting any sleep on a Friday or Saturday night. We also didn't have a fitted sheet on our bed which was weird and a little uncomfortable. Overall, decent! But terrible location for a night club next door.

I have stayed here twice and had amazing experiences both times. The first was over New Year's Eve. We booked a room last min as the other hotel we stayed at wanted to triple our rate for NYE, and our last min booking was cheaper than where we would have been staying. We were giving an interior room with one small window so sleeping in the next day was very easy. The rooms are gorgeous, clean, and very well maintained. The second time I was staying in town for three days. I arrived earlier than expected and could not check in, but they were happy to hold my luggage while I went about some business I had in the city. When I finally checked into my room I found that the television wasn't working, and my shower would not let water come out of the shower head. When i went down to the front desk to ask about this, they offered to upgrade me to a king suite for $20 extra per night. I ended up in a massive room overlooking the front of the hotel. Some people complain about the parking situation but it is New Orleans. I had to park across the street in a paid parking lot, but my parking was validated by the front desk. It's only two blocks from the French quarter so walking to and from was very convenient. I felt very safe walking alone at night, but always be aware of your surroundings.

Good downtown location. Close to bourbon street, Mississippi River, restaurants, stores, and tattoo shop! Free parking is available 2 blocks away. If u extend your stay, make sure they extend your parking privileges or you'll end up with a boot on your tire! Lobby, waiting area, and indoor restaurant were nice. Hallway carpets and walls could use some renovation. Rooms were nice. Love the furniture in the rooms! Room 329 was loud. U can hear everyone all around u.

I've stayed at this hotel a lot. And during my last 3 visits, I've had my door unlocked and opened 3 times while sleeping with no knocking first. I've checked into rooms where a stranger was in my shower and the bed completely undone with no luggage or anything in the room. And I have been given pricing over the phone and up-charged when checking in. Each time something has happened, there's never a sincere apology by the front desk, any type of compensation for what they've put me through. After being contacted by the GM of the hotel, I am not impressed by him at all. He has no empathy or urge to make an unpleased guest want to return for a better experience either!

Overall vibe of the hotel is awesome. Pros include well stocked mini bar an snack in the room that are reasonably priced compared to other hotel, the bed was very comfortable and it was very clean. Cons, very thin walls and very simple room but I guess that goes with the overall theme. Great hotel to bring your significant other or current fatal attraction.. very intimate vibe.

Beware of traps I was told parking was free while staying there it is not $33.00 a day and they did not say they charge you have to walk 2 blocks to get to parking area. Hotel didn't have coffee or breakfast available. We won't stay here anymore.

Areas of concern:1. Throughout the stay, the Internet was only available 35% of the time.2. We were put into a room that had construction (which included hammering on the wall of our room) on the outside window at 8am the first day. This resulted in a room change.3. The front desk general was un-friendly and did not seem to care if we were there.4. In an 8 night stay the room was only cleaned once(the night we left).5. Maintenance of the hotel was greatly lacking. We had visited 4-5 years ago and loved the hotel, but this time the bathrooms were in disrepair, and the hallway carpet was terribly warn.6. The hotel offered no full breakfast.7. The restaurant would not seat us for drinks.
