After confirming our reservation a few days prior to our arrival, we came to this god forsaken place only to find out that the rate we booked at was now somehow doubled. This was set in stone and in no way debatable, despite providing proof of the original price. So from around $450 for 3 nights, we are now looking at around $870, just like that. There seems to be only one person managing this dumpster fire at any given time, so trying to reach someone higher on the food chain proved impossible.
The new rates were the result of the Hotel now belonging to a different company, or so we were told (like if that would make this totally understandable). At the end we decided to spend one night here while we searched for another place. We shouldn’t have done that. You would think that the premium price would translate in an above average accommodation, and I guess the rooms are ok if you just got out of prison; but for people like us, spoiled by the barebones basic service of something like a Holiday Inn this place just didn’t cut it. The dozens of tiny flies in the room and the unbearable high pitched loud noise from the AC was just too much for us. The stained mattress could have been hidden better if the sheet was big enough to cover it, alas it wasn’t.
To top off this degrading experience, the receip we received after checking out was for the full ammount of days that we didn’t stayed here, at the new rate, so over $800. I had to go back and get an accurate receipt, because you just now these people WILL try to bill me the $870 if I don’t have any proof.
To summarize, my dear readers, I sugest you look elsewhere for your lodging needs, and stay out of this poorly managed, apathetic establishment.

Catahoula canceled a year-long reservation 2 months before my stay date. My stay date has passed, and I am still fighting for a refund. Avoid this scam business that canceled multiple reservations in order to increase their nightly price by 10x because of a concert in town. Nasty.

A little small but that was in description and we knew ahead if time. Perfect location to everything. Beautiful and historic which is what we were looking for. Would stay here again

This place doesn't deserve some of the bad reviews it has. We were in the apartment complex next door and the room was huge and spotlessly clean. Easy walk to Bourbon street and the area felt safe. The only complaint is that on our last night someone had set the keypad lock to the apartments' inner door and hadn't given us the code for it so we were basically locked out when we got back.

A room was booked at the hotel for 11/1/24-11/3/24. The room was falsely advertised online. After we paid for our room we were told it was a shared living space (never advised as this). The door to our shared living space would not lock and the space could be accessed by anyone off the street. We were told we would receive a refund and we never did.

I had a great time at this hotel! My husband and I were in town for the eras tour and had very few complaints about this hotel. It was maybe a 10 minute walk to the French Quarter, the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is super cute and the bar area looked great (we didn’t have time to actually get a drink). The only qualm I had was that in the shower there was a decent amount of paint peeling off the walls, which was a little icky but it was clean otherwise. You do have to park offsite which is inconvenient, but we just parked Thursday and walked everywhere so we didn’t have to worry about going in and out of the garage. I’d stay here again!

This hotel cancelled my reservation and has ignored all of my attempts for a refund. They sent me two emails. One indicating they were under new management, my stay was cancelled, and I would receive a refund in the near future. The second email sent two days after the first said my stay was not cancelled. I wrote back asking for clarification, in which they confirmed due to the management change my stay was cancelled and they included another department to answer when my money would be refunded. The other department has yet to respond to any emails. Absolutely ridiculous.

A friend and I booked this hotel in October 2023 for an October 2024 stay. Days ago, we received an email that our stay was cancelled due to "a change in management", and refunds would not be made "immediately available."
Looking to re-book after our cancelled reservation, prices for the nights we had previously already booked had more than tripled. Unfortunately, this is a hotel that is 0% about "hospitality, comfort, and satisfaction" (their words, not mine) and 100% about squeezing every penny from patrons they can.
UPDATE: The initial review, above, was written in August. Today is now October 30. It has been over TWO months since our room was cancelled on us and we were told refunds would not be made "immediately available." We have yet to receive our refund.

I booked this hotel over a year ago for the Taylor Swift concert weekend. Great rate, no deposit required, close enough to walk to the concert. Yay!
I guess after they realized it was Swifty weekend, they emailed saying they needed to charge a non-refundable 1 night deposit. OK, no biggie. Never thought another thing about it.
About 10 days before travel, I woke up thinking "I should probably reconfirm that hotel I booked so long ago" but I could not get in touch with them to save my life! I keep calling but it just rang and rang and rang. Then all of a sudden, later that afternoon, I get a call and the guy says he is the manager and his front desk staff let him know that I had called with my concerns about my hotel reservation getting cancelled. I told him I thought that was interesting because I hadn't actually spoken to anyone or left a message b/c the phone just kept ringing but maybe they were calling me back based on my phone number on a missed call log?
Anyways, he asked me how many rooms I had and when I told him just the one he seemed confused because he thought I was a wedding planner calling about a wedding block getting cancelled. Then he explained the hotel had been bought and he was part of the new management group and they were really taking a hit on reviews and getting lots of angry phone calls because when they took over they did not have any access to the old management company's systems, including reservations. He had me feeling bad for him and his staff. He assured me he'd be able to help me with my room and that he did have availability and needed to call me back in 10 minutes with more information. He mentioned the number he was calling me from was his personal cell phone number, which I thought was very strange. I waited an hour and did not hear back from him so I sent a text checking in and he said I'm sorry give me a few more minutes and until I can get back to my desk. I have a room for you and I will call you shortly. I never heard from him again.
The whole think was strange and I started getting sketchy vibes, then started reading all the reviews.... Fearing I would be left on the streets with my 10 year old daughter on Taylor Swift weekend with no hotel, I ended up booking another namebrand/national chain hotel at a very steep, last minute price. Now that I have really dug into this and read all of the reviews about similar circumstances, in addition to how unkept this hotel reportedly is, I will consider the universe did me a favor by nudging me to reconfirm!
Now if only I could get back that non refundable deposit that was charged to my card well over a year ago. I have a feeling I'll never see that again since my bank says it is too long ago to report as fraud.

Do not book at this place!!!!!!!! A friend of mine booked a room in New Orleans a year ago, but swapped to my name when I purchased the room from her for a concert in august. Both my friend and I had been in contact with the place since august 2024 trying to confirm the swap and they would never send an email, but would say on the phone it was done. Come October, after being contacted 3 times in 2 days, they finally admit they had swapped management and “can’t help us regarding a refund and to contact the other company’s financial department.” Which doesn’t exist because the company filed bankruptcy. Now this “new management” won’t answer the phone in order for me to get proof of them cancelling our rooms so we can pursue a refund. This place is a scam!!!!!!!!! Give me my refund!!!!!

STILL have not received a refund from the hotel canceling my room and stating that "I'd get my money back when I got my money back". Poor communication, poor management and ownership. DO NOT stay here. You will be involved in shady business where they take your money, cancel your room, and never issue a refund.

Pros:
Great location
Accommodating with late checkout
Affordable during big event weekend
Cons:
Made us wait for 1.5 hours to check-in, only for sheets to have dirt and hair in them
TV and wifi didn’t work, and front desk didn’t have any suggestions
Stains all over the shower walls
Claimed they lost our reservation twice
Did not clean rooms even after requesting with the doortag
The highest tier “Deluxe” room is just a normal hotel room.
Cute spot with a lot of potential. Just needs to figure out management and housekeeping.

AVOID this place. Hostel quality living and even hostels are nicer. Rooms are so small and nothing like the pictures. So dirty. My sheets were grossly stained and I called and asked for new sheets and they said “we’ll see. I mean you don’t have to sleep on them if you want to. And also we’re fully booked” - rather than a more hospitable apologetic response.
Incredibly loud; you can hear every conversation through the doors and walls. Loud outside.
The water pressure is terrible; it dribbles out of the faucet and shower. I couldn’t shower at all during our stay. No closet - just a wooden rod for hanging some clothes. The bathroom sink is in the area where you’ll be sleeping. One of my lightbulbs was dead and no one would replace it.
The bar is never open. The fob to enter the building after hours won’t let you in. The manager is terrible and ineffective and so rude.
More importantly they messed up our hotel block and didn’t maintain any wedding guests’ reservations; majority of us were scrambling for last minute housing on a very busy weekend.
Spend your money elsewhere. I hated my stay so much. I would’ve rather stayed at a Super 8 motel. This place should be shut down and will also be reporting to the city as it smells of mold and many ceilings have black mold. I’m shook that they’re running a business this way.

Our room was actually quite terrible. I actually feel sick upon my return home due to the moldy smell in the room. We also did not get covers, only sheets, and the a/c was so loud it was hard to sleep. The hotel looks quaint from the outside, and the design is nice, but there was a rat in the halfway on the bottom floor the size of a small dog, and the entire place is dingy. I will not stay there again for sure.
