Mr. Chris was incredibly kind knoedgeable and charged us a fair price. He also got our car back on the road quickly. We came to him because everyone was warning us that our symptoms sounded like transmission issues and it turns out recent work our radiator and transmission fluid was not finished properly. He could easily have said the work was not worth his time and sent us onto the next place and instead he fixed our car quickly and efficiently and charged a fair price.

Chris is an honest guy. He'll get work done as quick as he can. Obviously it's a transmission place, so it will be soul-crushingly expensive. That's not their fault though.

I have a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe LT. I brought my car to Firestone because the engine light came on. They told me my transmission needed to be replaced and that I should take care of that first. They referred me to two mechanics. Both were outside my budget (over $4,000.00). I googled transmissions shops in my area and contacted those with 5 star ratings with more than ten comments. I called C & O Transmission to get a quote. Not only did they have a 5 star rating with more than 10 comments, they were also well within my price range! Mr. Chris is very nice, professional, and very patient. He took the time to explain to me the difference between rebuilding a transmission and replacing one. I dropped my truck off on a Tuesday morning, it was ready that Friday morning. My truck runs smoother than before! I'm referring everyone I know, and thos I don't, with transmission issues to Mr. Chris! He has the best people, service, and damn good prices. I HIGHLY recommend C & O Transmission Service! :-)

Honest assessment of our transmission problem (a leak we took a while to address). Mr. Oats recommended we test it over the weekend after he topped off the fluid. He repaired the leak for a very reasonable price and saved us from a costly replacement. The truck did great on a hwy trip after the repair. Most honest and pleasant car repair experience we've ever had in New Orleans. We recommend Mr. Oats, his wife, and his team to anyone with transmission problems. Thanks!
