My daughter was celebrating her wedding at a family dinner and wanted to dress up. Buff Beauty did a great job on her make up. It was natural looking but enhanced my daughter's features perfectly. She looked wonderful.

Felt very obligated to leave this review because I don't think my engagement photos would have turned out even half as great without Kim encouraging me and leaving me with an amazing Blow Out.I was in town visiting and also getting my engagement photos done when I woke up the last day, right before our shoot, with food poisoning. I was just trying to make it the best I could even though I felt horrid. Upon walking in for my appt, Kim could tell I wasn't feeling 100% and immediately started offering suggestions or remedies to help. Since I was the only one in the salon, she even put the A/C on blast for me and brought me a hand fan and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible throughout the entire service. Close to finishing with my hair, I said something like "I can do this" and Kim was just so sweet and said some of the most encouraging words to give me the final push of energy I needed. My hair looked amazing even if I didn't feel that way and even as I was walking out the door, she told me one more time "You got this. It's only one hour and the photos are going to turn out amazing!"Kim, how right you were! Without her (and my photographer who was equally as patient and kind) I really don't think I would have had the strength to make it through the day let alone the shoot and it just goes to show...you can be good at your job but kindness and compassion can go so much farther.Thank you so much to Buff Beauty Bar and my girl Kim. Anytime I'm in Nola, I will make it an occasion to get pampered by you :)

I decided to have a little glam done for a Mardi Gras ball. Jessica was amazing! Being a woman over 40 leads me to dread having my makeup done because of my 'mature skin'. I felt beautiful and danced the night away without sweating off my makeup and my hair still looked great! Thanks Jessica, I will be back

The beauty bar has amazing amenities you can get your hair blow out make up done lashes and wax all in the same place. The girl there are amazing. Very talented young ladies. Definitely worth the service. The blow out are amazing they wash your hair blow it out and make you want to back almost right away. Manicures and pedicures are so refreshing they use this sugars rub that feels great.

Had my hair and makeup done here for my wedding and was so pleased with both! Brought in pictures of looks I liked and both stylists were wonderful in collaborating with me to incorporate the things I liked and avoiding things I didn't and making the looks my own. They were creative and professional and fun. It's a bright, open, centrally located space that's walkable from many hotels and venues. I enjoyed the time I spent there and was so happy with the services provided.

Several days ago I made an appointment for a blow out for this morning with a gift card received for my birthday. After being diagnosed with covid yesterday afternoon, I thought it best to cancel. When I called, I got a voicemail. I left a message explaining my situation and requested a call back. This morning I received an email thanking me and using my gift card for the no show. When I called to inquire, I was told they did not have a voicemail. I explained they did because I left a message on one. I was then told that they did but they didn’t check it because it was “full”. I then confirmed that they used my entire gift card for a no show, even though I canceled the appointment. As a side note, I also didn’t confirm via the text message, as I was awaiting test results. Will never go there and will never recommend. As a lifetime local, I was hoping to love it. Unfortunately, I will never know.

I got the best blow out I’ve ever gotten from Kim! I made a last minute appointment and was seen same day. She was very gracious about how long it would take for an end of the day appointment on very long, very curly, and very thick hair. Best salon experience I’ve had of any service. Will definitely be coming back!
