We loved this place! Fascinating recreation of what a home of people in this particular social class would have been like, and includes some information about the servants and enslaved people that supported the household. A great place to spend a couple of hours and totally worth the cost.

Admission is only $5, which is a fair price. You can visit two floors and the kitchen in the back yard, which are decorated in the style of the 1850s. Numerous signs provide information about the background. The visit lasts approx. 30mn.

Walked by this interesting house museum many a time while living in New Orleans and never noticed it. A great value at 5 bucks to get an inside view of the type homes are up and over the shops that border Jackson Square plus there are fine items to peruse and buy in the museum store.
