Kaffie-Frederick Inc. is the oldest hardware store in Louisiana and a must-see while in Natchitoches. It is a unique and unusual place with an old feeling and very nice decor. The store has everything from tools and hardware to kitchenware, cast iron cookware, wedding gifts, perfumes, and house plants. It offers the biggest selection of men's gifts and a wide, largest mixed variety of items to fix anything. The second floor also has many cool items and gifts. The staff is very nice and helpful. It is an ideal place to find original souvenirs and quality items, though things can be a little pricey. The experience is very much worth it.
I drive 2 hours to go to this awesome place! Makes me feel like a child at Gimbles Toy Store in New York! If they don’t have what you are looking for, you won’t find it! Great staff and owner is there to greet you!
