Not what you think at all. Surprisingly amazing fried chicken. When I first pulled in the parking lot I thought, "This can't be the place?" To my surprise I walk in and see tables of folks with happy greasy faces. Not lying. I got my order and quickly became one of those happy greasy faces. Superb fried chicken, great side. Even better rolls or pistons. Pack some honey in your pocket for them. When I say best in the area, I do mean all of Washington Parish & St Tammany. Check this place out! It will end up in heavy rotation for sure. For the side the red beans and slaw always gets my attention.

Everything is ez to find , less waiting, and beautiful employees with great sense of humor. This is a great way to save time, and money going to Walmart

Chicken and coleslaw everything is awesome but the rice needs something. Overall I drove 45 mins one-way just cause I had a taste for something good.

This little hidden jewel has the BEST fried chicken dinners you will ever eat. It's a little convenience store that serves awesome food and has very nice workers. I think the service is great considering how you always have to wait in line a few minutes but when you get up to the counter, the people are pleased to take your order.

My first time visiting there from out of town to attend Franklinton Fair , the service was good , everyone was polite friendly plus hot food to bring home. I will be returning.

Absolutely a treasure!! A must see if your in the area. They sell hoop cheese the old fashioned way just like I remember from my youth. My fussy daughter bought a chicken sandwich she said was really good.. This store is like stepping back in time and the owner is just so sweet and welcoming . We plan on coming back to camp in their campground next weekend! Can't wait. The archers from Knoxville. Totally worth the drive.
