The end of an era. Used to on a Friday night you couldn't get in without a reservation. Tonight we were the only ones. Picking* up a chicken fried steak that once was excellent now is from frozen. The gravy was literally white water. The potatoes were a puddle. The only thing that was the same as years ago was the salad. Still a great dressing. So sad. I doubt we'll be back.

Love this small town, friendly service, home-cooked food. The secret ranch recipe is one of the best. Also, the steaks cooked to medium rare top with onions bell peppers and mushrooms makes this hidden gem a place for people to drive to. Customer service is friendly and accommodating. Don't let the outside of the convenience store allow your mind to misjudge the great food. The portions are huge!

Its a good place if certain cooks are there. I ordered a chicken fried steak on my way home. I pick it up and get to the house. Bloody in the center and was missing my mash potatoes. I called back they said they'd put my name up on the wall to get a meal compensated to me for the mess up. I called back 1 1/2 weeks later and they said no name is up there and that they wasn't taking care of it. Im good. I use to go there all the time. I dont know what is going on since Jerry dont own it. Its been going down hill since then. But they will never get 1 lick of business from me and my family. They wouldve fixed it right then but I had been driving all day and once I get home I wasn't leaving. So they said it wouldn't be a big deal and took my last name down. No honor in that store so they won't get my honest dollar.

Slow customer service. Seems to not like black customer’s. Items over price. Avoid store at all cost. Only get gas

My wife and I SPLIT their breakfast plate and we still didn't finish it. It's off in the middle of nowhere at a gas station highway corner but is a good place to stop for very informal, yet perfectly good dining.

This visit was so much better than last one. Food came out fast, warm and delicious. Last time was unfortunate as the server needed to inform us that the kitchen was out of part of what we ordered. Have returned now 3 more times and they have more than made a difference. Have also used phone in and it too was fantastic.

Been here several times, sometimes slow service, but well worth the wait. Wether it is for breakfast, REAL burgers, steaks, EVERYTHING is so good.

I have heard about this place for years, and went on a whim this week. Absolutely the best plate lunch in a long time. Beef tips the way they used to be made, and great banana pudding.

Longwood General Store is my regular breakfast stop on Saturdays and Sundays. The service is very friendly and prompt. The food is always great and there is lots of it. The price is very reasonable. I can get an omelet and a cup of coffee or glass of iced tea for less than $10. My personal favorite is the cheese omelette but my husband highly recommends the steak and eggs. I have had lunch and dinner here as well and found the service, food, and prices still excellent. I highly recommend it. It is worth the drive to the country!
