Lived here my whole life minus a few years here or there and Longwood has always been where I go every morning. So my house burnt down, no refrigerator, I needed 1 bag of ice. They said they had none. Upon looking in cooler there was at least 50 7 lb. bags. When I told the attendant I was told that was their ice and wouldn't sell me any. So much for years of loyalty.Update: The store manager remedied the ice situation for me! Felt like the old Jerry King Longwood again!

Food quantity vs price has dropped. The last 3 times I was there they were out of something I tried to order to eat.

I understand this used to be great. The atmosphere has cool potential, but the whole place is covered with the most filthy carpet you could ever imagine. You can't even tell it is carpet at first. It is just disgusting. When we came in, there were dirty dishes on several tables and when we left there were even more - dirty dishes on all but one table. No tables were cleaned during our entire meal. It does take a little while to get your meal, but that is ok. The burger meat has a nice flavor. The French fries were completely generic frozen-style. And it would have been nice to get a straw after asking twice. On the way out, I noticed that there are big swags of exposed wiring hanging on the outside of the building between the restaurant and the "casino". The whole place feels unkempt, and not in a "charming dive" kind of way. I am sorry, but I can't recommend.

Love this small town, friendly service, home-cooked food. The secret ranch recipe is one of the best. Also, the steaks cooked to medium rare top with onions bell peppers and mushrooms makes this hidden gem a place for people to drive to. Customer service is friendly and accommodating. Don't let the outside of the convenience store allow your mind to misjudge the great food. The portions are huge!

Best chicken fried steak in this neck of the woods.11/21 update. New Owner restaurant is so messed up. Orders wrong food forgotten. Not the same cooks people walking out. So sad was one of my favorite places.

This place has great steaks from the grill or chicken fried but it is not fast food. It does take a while to get your food after ordering because it's a small kitchen, small kitchen staff and most food is cooked to order. If you are one of those special people that expect people to bend over backwards for you and get your food 5 minutes after ordering then stick to McDonald's or Burger King and have it your way. I think the small kitchen staff do a great job churning out food not only for the customers there but the numerous call in orders for the people who are too lazy to cook or even seat at a table and eat. Most people in this world don't even have to work only shop or drive around in endless circles so what's the hurry in getting your food?
