Don't try and help them with adoption events they cancel without telling the event center and have no communication skills. They don't want dogs adopted they want publicity from big businesses

So much to say that I don't know where to start. On 7/21/23 I went to the shelter to find a dog to adopt. I was greeted by a young woman and a young man. They were polite and friendly. I found a dog that I wanted to adopt. However they didn't know anything about her, that she gave birth approximately 3 weeks ago. They had named her Janey. She was in a caged inside a hot office. She didn't have any water and was laying on top and of her urine and her food was on top of her urine as well..The only person that could approve the adoption was Terri and she was not there. I was told that she would be there the next day at 10..I have came the next day at 11 but she was not there. I called her and she said that she was sick. After speaking to me in a rude and bossy manner I was told by her that she would be back Tuesday. When I got there Tuesday I was told that she had heartworm Not knowing anything about them, I asked if they was treatable?Terri said they were but neglected to inform me to inform me that could cost thousand dollars or more. I found out the next day when you I took her to the Vet office for her rabies shot and to schedule her for spaying. I have chosen to invest the money in the hopes that God and a good Vet can heel her..I've named her LU LU. She is so loving and is just craving attention so badly. More to say but I'll stop here. May God place His healing hands apond LU LU body and heel her of the heart worms.

Require you to fill out a form, then you must be evaluated, most are inside dogs, they might want to inspect your home or fenced in area, but the price of these unwanted and discarded dogs is respectable.I believe the trouble to go through isn't worth it when you can find dogs on Facebook rehoming pages. This is just my opinion, and in now way should it convince you to not call and try to adopt from this shelter, they are professionals and take great care of the dogs there.

Adopted Oreo on October 23, 2021. The staff made the process easy and efficient, and I was heading home with my new dog within an hour of visiting. I will definitely come back when I am adopting again.

My family and I went here to try and find a dog my 6 year old daughter and wife are not afraid of. We made 7 trips around looking at all the dogs. My daughter found only 1 she was not afraid of. We filled out the adoption application. We had a lot of questions and the staff answered to the best of their knowledge. Ryker was so new to the shelter and was not fully in the system. The great news was the nice lady that fostered Ryker was there she answered all my questions and concerns. Ryker was not fully ready and we were told he would be ready next week but we ended up bring him home and I still to get him to the Vet for a couple things. Ryker got onto our van and lay down on the back set and acted like him enjoyed the ride. Got home and he been exploring inside and out. This dog really blended into the family very well. He layed down beside our bed and fell a sleep fast.

They were all very nice and helpful. They helped us adopt the most wonderful fur baby for my dad. We fell in love with him before we got home. Thank you.

Very sketchy and unfriendly employees. Could not tell me anything related to the health of a dog I wanted to adopt. Dirty and horrible conditions for those poor dogs. Told me I could not give the dog I wanted the life he deserves because he would live outside and inside.

I am a big supporter of adopt, don't shop. All my animals have been adopted and are loved so much. The people working there are kind and you can see their love for the animals.
