If I could leave negative stars I would. I was in the metarie location today and the MANAGER was screaming at one of the employees in front of everyone. She took her to the back of the store and yelled at her some more loud enough for the whole store to hear still. I was so embarrassed for the employee who was not doing anything wrong. I left the store and will never go back there. The managers name is TANAYA. I made sure to ask before leaving as fast as I could. that Was one of the most unprofessional things I have ever seen. Like I said, zero or less than zero stars. Bad form.

Walked into the store a few minutes before close unknowingly because it was my first time . I seen the clothes and vibe through the window and wanted to see it . As soon as I saw walked through the door I wasn't greeted I was hit with a we close in 5 minutes from a tall white guy called Greg . He even went to put the key in the door and the black young lady working said not yet Greg implying he was doing it to early . Greg didn't care. Greg is rude. If I'm coming to spend my money I should be hassled with we closed in 5 minutes that is very rude . I understand that y'all do close in 5 minutes but I could've been politely greeted you never know who you could be entertaining I could've been the owner of the store.

Placed an order on the phone. Associate did a great job helping me look for items in my discussed size range US 2-4. I was sent a pair of pants to consider in a UK size 4, BUT UAL tag was NOT labeled as UK. It simply said "4" and was the only visible size on the garment photo, leading both myself (and I'm assuming the associate who was only sending options she believed in my range) to believe it was a size 4 US. Pants were obviously several sizes too small after size conversion. I could not wear them upon arrival. Manager refused to allow me to return them for anything other than store credit even after my explaining entire situation and sending screenshots of conversation and recalling phone conversations that were not on text. She took one screenshot out of context as "proof" that I had size information. I had a waist and inseam measurement on the pants, which in no way defines the entire fit of the pant as a whole. The waist fit me as did the length, however they were bulging tight in the legs and did not fit as they should have had they been a US size 4. She ignored dozens of other texts and conversations that made it clear that I was looking specifically at a US size range and the associate was understanding and helping me with that. Manager also told me "our customers should just know" what brands require size conversions and which do not, even though nowhere on the UAL tag did it say "UK" 4, so I would have known to make the conversion. Overall, associate was wonderful and doing her best to be helpful. But mistakes do happen and it seems unfair to penalize a customer for a sizing error that her UAL staff also made (non-intentionally). Manager was incredibly condescending and difficult to deal with. UAL has great prices and pieces, but you better hope you never have an issue with anything because there is a huge unwillingness to resolve or be anything other than stubborn and defensive over something that should be a very simple refund for a misunderstanding in which UAL absolutely shared blame. based off of conversations with an associate knowing my desired size range and these subsequent photos, I reasonably assumed and relied on UAL's staff and tag to believe that these were my correct US size.

Awesome store with some of the best brands around. A great mix of luxury and higher end brands.

Literally feel nauseous writing this. I fell in love with UAL about five years ago. I've made an effort to visit almost all of their locations. Like I actually planned part of our vacations around visiting their stores. I used to frequent this location the most, cause it's their largest of the three in New Orleans. But I have noticed a huge decline in their level of customer service in the last few years. No one greets you when you walk in, it's rare to receive any help on the sales floor, you definitely don't get help while you're in the fitting room, or a good bye when you leave. It's like all the customer service basics are gone. Tré, who used to manage there, was incredibly welcoming and warm. He also obviously trained his team on how to treat customers. There are a few specific things that have happened on more than one visit that made me second guess shopping there. After one specific visit, I went to the Magazine St. store to shop after experiencing another frustrating trip to Metairie with the same two gals who I usually see, and even told the manager at Mag how unkind and seemingly judgmental the staff seems to be now. After looking through the most recent Yelp reviews, I'm seeing I'm not alone in how I'm treated. Don't get me wrong, their selection of designer clothes at discounted prices is amazing. But, shopping there is now actually uncomfortable. On a separate note- the store also reeks of smoke. It smelled like cigarette smoke so bad in there, I almost couldn't stand it. There is a cigar store that's within proximity to them, so I'm assuming that the smell comes from there. However, all the cigar stores I've ever been to don't smell like cigarettes. Five years ago I would have given 1,000 stars for their incredibly unparalleled customer service and selection. Today, two stars for their selection. Bring Tré and his team back, us fashion lovers who love to shop and be treated with kindness miss him. The whole reason I decided to write this, is for people who love to shop (like me) and suggest they visit the FQ store or the Magazine St. store. You'll have a way better experience and still get to fill your closet with all your favorite brands, just smaller stores to shop in.

I like going in to look around. Sometimes there is a good selection. Different price ranges. High end and unheard of brands. Not many shoes but definitely designer labels.

Saw a couple reviews about the lack of greetings and general attitude from the staff towards customers based on appearance and I'd echo that they are totally valid. We've been to the 2 other locations in NOLA and didn't notice any difference in treatment while there: that being said, the selection here is maybe a little more extensive and prices a little lower than the other 2. If you're a minority, just know that you're coming here for the deals (which are excellent) and maybe not much else.

Always appreciate the staff at this location! Friendly and really helpful at finding unique pieces and even shipping out of town. Never been disappointed with my UAL experience at any location!

The sales clerk was very helpful. I was looking for a skirt but found jewelry and men’s clothing as well.

Been wanting to come in here since I moved here a few months ago. I walked in and there was a woman at the entrance who I exchanged eye contact with and I didn't say anything cause I thought she was a customer, unfortunately I found out it was an employee as another customer said goodbye to her. So to have not been greeted while walking into an apparel store that smelled like faboloso kinda wasn't the best first impression. I plan to return another day to hopefully have a more pleasant experience, that's what usually entices me to buy things

It almost hurts to leave this review. My family has been going to UAL since it opened in the French quarter. Today I stopped in while I was in town and I noticed that there was a whole new staff. I wasn't greeted when I entered but someone that was white was greeted. I wasn't told thanks when I left but I noticed others before me had been. I hate to believe that their staff has these thoughts but I won't be returning to this location for now

Superb place to shop for unique pieces. I love all of their locations in Louisiana. Hattisburg, Mississippi has a location as well that’s definitely worth checking out if your in the area. You do have to get pieces as they put them out because the inventory is excellent and doesn’t stay on the racks very long.
