The one lady working a register downstairs said she was closing, even though I was third line. She said there are no more registers and no more cashiers. Left without being able to purchase our items. Will order online and have it at my door tomorrow I guess

I recently had the misfortune of shopping at the Target in Metairie, LA, and I feel compelled to share my experience. While I’ve always appreciated Target for its wide selection and generally pleasant shopping environment, this particular visit was nothing short of a disaster.
Upon entering the store, I was greeted by disarray. Aisles were cluttered with merchandise, making it difficult to navigate. It felt more like a clearance sale gone wrong rather than a well-organized retail space. I was looking for specific items, but good luck finding anyone to help. The staff seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than assisting customers.
Now, let’s talk about Caleb. If you ever find yourself needing assistance and Caleb is the person you encounter, do yourself a favor and walk away. His attitude was shockingly dismissive and unprofessional. I approached him with a simple question about a product's location, and instead of offering help, he rolled his eyes and muttered something under his breath. It was incredibly rude and left a sour taste in my mouth. Customer service is key in retail, and Caleb clearly missed that memo.
In summary, if you're considering visiting the Target in Metairie, be prepared for chaos, a lack of assistance, and, unfortunately, a potential encounter with Caleb that will leave you feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer. I sincerely hope management takes note of these issues because this store is in dire need of improvement. Consider shopping elsewhere until some serious changes are made.

The lady at the skincare/ulta section was so rude! I knew exactly what product I was looking for, just didn’t know where it was located at. She asked me if I needed help and then proceed to give me the nastiest look. I guess it was because she saw an interracial couple with a biracial child and thought we would steal. I come to that target often, never again. The ladies at the real ulta store would never treat us like that. Just disgusting, if you hate your job then quit! Her and a coworker- off the clock- were talking so nasty, cussing and loudly discussing work drama very unprofessional. I did not know the other employee was off the clock when I asked for wave grease. She said she’s off the clock and to find another worker. That’s so pathetic.
Not to mention I was in my work clothes, I care about my job and the company- unlike the workers I dealt with tonight.

This use to be one of the nicest targets in the south. Since the renovations the store is terrible. Low product selection, disarray, messy, unfriendly…. What happened Target - y’all went from the premiere store to this.

Stuff is always out of stock, clothes are a mess, pickup lines are super long, order pickup takes forever, etc. I waited 45 mins for curbside order pickup one time. This has to be the worst-staffed Target ever.

Don’t bother calling if you have any problems. Nobody will ever answer, no matter what department you call. I’ve called 11 times and got no response yet.

The Metairie store has failed on multiple occasions to have my drive up order ready with-in the 2-hour promised time frame. Pulsha, store employee, said they have no way of identifying my order until it pops up on their screen, and made no attempt to try and manually locate my order in the queue. I normally would not complain about an isolated experience, but this has been reoccurring for the Metairie location.
The Kenner location, however; has always been timely with drive up orders.

The current trick is to offer lower prices online and NOT match those prices in the store. So, you have to order online and come back to the store and wait 30 minutes at the "pick-up" desk for the employee to slowly shuffle across to another part of the store (why are the items not at the pickup desk?) to collect the item and slowly shuffle back. Waste of time. Clearly, the intent is to drive you to do all your shopping online and have it delivered, so they can cut staff and close the store. Very sad state of affairs.

The staff were rude and impatient, I placed an order for pick up, they said ready in 2 hours, I went to get it after 3 1/3 hours, they said they had no idea how long maybe another 2 hours. Found it on the shelf and they said I couldn’t get my money back for 3-5 days maybe, just cancel the order and when you don’t pick it up they will refund you about 5 days. I have done online shopping always at the Kenner, La store, this was the first time at the Metairie La store. I know they were kind of busy the Saturday after Black Friday, but they need to be trained better. The only person that helped and spoke to me politely was the Ulta cosmetics employee.

Like most major stores this target has gone fully into the self checkout, this alone causes no issues for me until they close all but one line and then they start enforcing a 10 item limit
This means the one worker at a checkout lane has a line that is 10+ people in waiting to check out even if they self checkout lanes are wide open.
This has slowly become my least favorite store to go shopping in, thankfully whole foods and trader Joe's is just down the road and I can Amazon the rest that I am missing

Drive-up is soooooooooo terrible at this location. 20+ minute wait even when you are the only car there to pickup. The Kenner location gets it right every time!
