If there was a way to pack Rhonda and her wonderful associates into my suitcase, I'd be in "Hog Heaven," as they say...! For nearly 8 years Rhonda cut my hair to perfection - just the way I wanted! If she wasn't available, Elma (her long-time sidekick) would stand in and the result was the same - total satisfaction. I witnessed her negotiate the turning points of her life, much as she saw me through mine, albeit from the perspective on one degree of separation. We became 'friends,' in the sense of a competent professional and her client, during my tenure at Tulane University. Our professional relationship was cemented by all the above, only severed by a force of nature, Hurricane Katrina. Even though I now reside over 2,000 miles away, any excuse to return to what in many respects still is 'my home town' automatically results in a haircut in Rhonda's proficient hands while we 'catch up' on where our respective life experiences have taken us. Once again, just a few days prior to this writing I was able to enjoy a hair 'makeover' by Rhonda at her new location, an esthetic step up from the inattentive result received elsewhere in the immediate past. Now in an ownership position, she is able to go the extra mile for her clientele and in much more convenient and pleasing surroundings with an ambiance fitting of the quality and sensitivity of her services. Rhonda has the people skills to address the needs and wishes of her clients, and those skills extend to her interactive management style. As a result, she has attracted other quality service providers who have remained for the long-term. Case in point is Elma, a very personable and competent person in her own right who has been with Rhonda "from the beginning," as she said to me recently. Additionally, my partner received a well-executed pedicure performed by Su An (spelling may be off a bit - even quite a bit...) while waiting for me to experience Rhonda's 'magic.' As she performed the pedicure, Su An allowed that she had been at Sheers for '10 years." When I observe such a pattern, I know that the person at the helm is doing things right. No question but that Rhonda does things 'right.' Competence, sensitivity to one's preferences, personable and friendly to a fault (as if that were ever a "fault") - I highly recommend Sheers. Whether you ask for Rhonda, Elma, Su An or are served by anyone else in the Sheers family, you can count on your request to be professionally performed in a friendly and competent manner.

Rhonda has been cutting my hair and my three children's for over ten years. She is excellent at her profession. There is no one else I'd want to go to. She's great at it all cuts, color, and styling. Her new salon is beautiful and offers a full array of services including massage and nails. Everyone that works there gives great service and is friendly.

Love this place! Great customer service. Great prices. Rhonda, the owner, does a phenomenal job & very personable. It's a pleasant atmosphere to be in when you're waiting to get your hair done. She did a great job doing my teen daughter's hair for her Winter Formal. She's patient & interacts very well with kids. I have been going here for 7 years. I definitely recommend.
