They are very slow. And they don't keep in touch with you to let you know what's going on. You have to wait at least 10 days then they'll tell you if your computer is good or not.

My husband and I have bringing our vehicles to Sals for at least 8 years, and he is extremely fair, fast, and thorough. I recommend all of my friends and family take their cars/trucks to him. If you need a honest and fair priced mechanic, He's the one to go to!

Don't even waste your time. Absolutely unprofessional charge me a fee and came up with absolutely nothing.
The girl at the front probably the owner's daughter. The nastiest person I've ever dealt in my life.
It took me almost a month and it looks like they are scamming people who are necessary work.

I had a great experience with Sal. The other mechanics in the Metairie area will refer you to him for your car electrical repair needs. Brought my first gen Tacoma in one morning and he figured out what was wrong with it by the end of the day the next day. Some kind of electrical short which I could not have figured out myself even with all my YouTube tutorials and engineer friends.
5/5 service, would recommend sal's electric auto repair.

For 3 years I was taking my SC430 Lexus to the dealership because my battery keep dying. Thousands of dollars later with Lexus finding other things supposedly wrong my brother's mechanic recommended Sal's, after 3 days of tracing and tested all my wiring, Sal finally discovered the problem. Thank you Sal for fixing my car and charging a very reasonable price. I live in Gonzales and his shop is in Metairie it was worth the drive. He is a very honest man.

Sal has an very nasty attitude!!! I wouldn't bring my vehicles here for services. The truck is in an worser condition after service. Truck was towed at this location. Therefore I was trying to get the correct location. He answered the phone and had an attitude and told me the vehicle was ready and Don't call him no more!!!!!!! Nasty customer service!!!!! NEVER AGAIN

My engine would not start on my push to start ignition and I had been left stranded a few times outside of stores on Canal, Magazine St. although it would randomly start so I brought it here. They ran diagnostics but told me they can't fix the problem until it happens. I said "So I have to be left stranded wherever, pay for a tow to your shop and THEN you'll repair it". I got the sense that they did not want to take the time to find the problem and were going to wait until my car fails when I'm out driving and can't start the engine. DO NOT do business here they will not help you if they already have cars in the garage and the owner does not want to pay for the labor to troubleshoot and/or find the problem. Also very rude, I tried to make an appointment and was told "Thursday morning" then hung up on. GO ANYWHERE ELSE.

Brought my truck into Sals this morning for an electrical diagnosis. He solved my issue and had my truck back to me before 3. Very pleased with the service. But man. $225 to change a battery terminal is ridiculous.Should have just asked exactly what ground was bad and change it myself.I will say this…. The $225 isn’t as bad as me playing the guessing game and probably spending more replacing parts that did not need to be replaced.Which is the road I was on. Having already replacedheadlight bulbs…Headlight switch…Alternator fuse...Alternator twice,only bc I thought the first new one was bad…I’m just glad it wasn’t anything serious.And I’m very thankful for Mr. Sal getting it done so fast.Services: Electrical repair
