We were driving and pulling a UHaul trailer from Texas to Georgia when the check engine light came on just before 5 pm as we were passing through New Orleans. To make matters worse it was Labor Day. Luckily S&I was open that day and until 6 pm. The owner was so kind and took pity on us. He ran a computer check of our truck engine and eventually replaced a belt. He didn’t have the belt at his garage and personally drove to a supply store to buy it. The cost for parts and labor was very reasonable. He could have justifiably charged much more for the emergency repair. Within a couple of hours we were once again headed for Georgia. Without S&I, our trip would have been delayed at least a day and we would have missed our daughter’s scheduled move in to her dorm at college. Such kindness is in very short supply nowadays and we will be forever grateful.

The guys are very friendly and knowledgeable. I brought the car in for an a/c problem. Not only did they do the repairs but, told me I needed an oil change and two front tires. They are very thorough and the price was right.

Do not use! Predatory! Repair shops are for profit as they should be, it's skilled labor. However, S&I takes advantage of people and price gouges! We went in to get an estimate and diagnostics for a new A/C. The initial charge was $200+ to say the compressor was out (we knew that prior) then quoted for $2,000 for further work to replace the compressor/dryer/etc. Already have quotes for $800 for work under warranty with no added charge for initial tests. Bad people taking advantage of a miserable heat wave.Service: Air conditioning

I was not pleased with the service I received. I was called and was told my car had a diagnostic and I needed a special freon due to make of my car. I paid over $500. I rode my car for three days and the AC went out again. I called and he asked me to bring the car in, which would mean more more money. I decided to bring it elsewhere and it ended up being the compressor. Glad I didn't go back, but out of $500.

We were in town for business and our car started shaking while outside NOLA. Mustafa confirmed what our mechanic back home mentioned could be the cause. Mustafa not only got all the parts on a Saturday morning, but stayed way passed their time to work on my parents van. We really appreciate going above and beyond, and the honest work performed to get us back up and running for our trip home.

I recently when and got my car checked and it was supposed to be just alignment, paid diagnostic + 2000 for battery change, oil, spark plugs, 1 signal light and alignment and probably 1 little thing more. Supposed to change my tires so I asked for prices, he gave me a 30 day time limit to get new tires to have a free realignment. After 20 days he never called with tires prices and went and got my own somewhere else, now i came back for my realignment and he said that was only if i buy the tires with him. Now im supposed to pay extra because he was waiting for the 30 days to end, so could give me a price and pay again for realignment. He was being very friendly so I believed he was straight. Hope you guys be more careful then I was, but I personally never going back there. When they get a chance, they all try to take advantage.Service: General repairs & maintenance

BEWARE!! Worst mechanic shop I've ever had dealings with!! Went here because reviews were Decent and it was close. They Took days to call me with the diagnosed problem even after I was calling three times a day. After agreeing to the work they called and said other things were wrong which added a fortune to the bill. The vehicle never ran well and still had the same problemWhen I picked it up. It also had several new problems! Upon trying to speak to the new owner Mohammed, it was like he was in a different world. He had no answers and refused to answer my questions. I brought the car back in and they took another two days and called me with a whole new slew of problems. They also gave me an outrageous quote for things that they broke in the process of never fixing the original problem. Please I beg you find any other shop than this one. Do yourself a favor because one small problem will turn into 100 problems.
