Went to primary vet to see why my chihuahua was acting funny, she had spotty urine so decided to check on her. The vet didn't seem concerned about it so she gave her antianxiety and sent us on our way. We got home and saw a lot of urine in her blood and that scared us. We immediately went to MEDVET!
The intake did take a while but I'm going to assume they had more pets in worse conditions, however, when we talked to the Vet he was so caring and understanding. Asked us many questions to get to the bottom of what's going on.
I understand some people think its unnecessary or a scam to get many test done, but when you feel your baby isn't right its needed! He sent for test, ultrasounds, and blood work, found out my baby had bladder stones and fluid in her uterus. He could've told us it was an emergency situation and charged 4k for a spay, but he asked many questions and we both came to a decision that she needed to be spayed ASAP but I can go to my primary to get it done that week.
He gave us antibiotics for her bladder stones and sent lab work to make sure they are treating the right infection.
Even thought blood in urine could be common symptom of UTI I'm super happy they took extra precautions and extra care for my baby! If we never would have come here I'm positive my baby would have died in our house with no indication of why! I'm so grateful for the staff. Thank you so much, coming here was God sent, thank you for respecting my baby and her conditions.

I had a terrible experience with MedVet's surgery department when I brought my dog in for TPLO surgery. The surgeon told me it was a "Slam Dunk" TPLO case- 100% confident he had correctly identified the issue. I decide to go ahead with surgery. I get a call just as the surgery is starting that the surgeon is deciding not to go forward because the issue was incorrectly identified.
The surgeon informed me that a tech had written something incorrect on my dog's chart- leading to their over-confidence that they had correctly identified the issue.
The surgeon recommended several weeks of rest but never called to check in on me or my pup. I also was still expected to pay full price for the anesthesia and other costs that went into uncompleted surgery. The whole experience was incredibly offputting and I did not feel any compassion from the team. While I appreciate the surgeon not going through with the surgery if he was not comfortable and imagine this was a rare occurence, the whole ordeal from beginning to end made me lose confidence in MedVet's surgery department.
I ultimately went to VSGNO to get the surgery. It went through without any issue. The surgeon was incredibly compassionate and it was also more affordable.

Very calm, patient, and caring team. I felt relieved as soon as I showed up. The vet tech for triage was calm and friendly and soothed my emotions. The vet was positive and informative and presented two plans of treatment with clear up front costs. My cat is now home and nudging me on the cheek and weaving between my feet and purring. I couldn’t have asked for better care.

We’re so thankful for Med Vet! Unfortunately, we had to put our dog, Reese’ down. We tried so hard to fight for her, but she was dying of cancer. Thank you to the team for being so patient, loving, and supportive. Thank you for not rushing us as we said our final good byes. The private room really helped us grieve and let her go. It was so hard, but also a very beautiful experience watching her no longer be in pain. Thank you for the thoughtful card. That meant so much to us.

My baby and I were treated well and the staff was very attentive to our needs. My kitty is shy and timid, but he purred and cuddled the staff throughout the exams.

It’s with a heavy heart that I write this review simply because I’ve used them for years but this is not the same MedVet as before. When being brought to the back, the smells and the constant disarray is overwhelming since it is supposed to be a hospital after all. After my pet was given the wrong medication by a negligent and inexperienced manager in ICU, I should’ve listened to my instincts to pull her and bring her elsewhere. Instead, I let her continue her treatments there. It wasn’t until I went to visit my pet that I was told something was even wrong. My pet was discovered in her kennel dead and it was quite obvious that she had not been checked on in some time being that she was already stiff as a board. I feel the staff here is no longer competent to take care of your loved ones so it would behoove you to look elsewhere for quality healthcare for your pets.

Staff was very empathizing and seemed trauma informed with patients and they really helped me make sure my dog was okay within my situation; meaning, I am a disabled person without any income right now. They also helped me leave quickly when I had my own health symptoms by emailing discharge papers so I could go take care of myself. Very very professional and helpful. I rarely receive such understanding as a disabled person. Thank you so much.
The only thing I didn't love is that my dog was in the back the whole time, that's normal and he is very charismatic, everyone wants to adopt him. But when he came out, he had to pee VERY badly. I wish they would have recognized that or maybe I should have noticed how long it had been and asked. But that's more my nervousness and they did a great job.

My partner and I brought in my dog after she was bit in the neck by another dog, and Dr. Brittney made our visit as positive as it could possibly be. She was so kind, patient, helpful, and accommodating, answering our questions about how bad the bite was and what to do in the future. And my dog loved her!

Dr. Amy Oliver and all the staff at MedVet on late Friday night (9/20/24) to early Saturday morning did a fantastic job of taking care of our chihuahua, Lucy. The team did a great job communicating with us what was going on and provided us options for treatment. We felt that the team had Lucy’s best interest at heart and we were all treated with such kindness and respect.
