This gym is decent. I don't have any complaints. There's a variety of classes, machines for lifting and cardio, and it's never too packed either. For the past couple of years, I've enjoyed the student rate that they offer; it's very affordable and comes with access to all the classes as well as the pool. There's something for everyone here, and they frequently have events. It seems a lot of them are catered to the geriatric crowd, but that is also a large percentage of the members here. Not too fancy, not too outdated. It's worth it for my current needs.

It is Sunday morning and there is a line outside the building because they are supposed to be open but aren’t. They were to open at 10 and it is almost 10:20. After opening late the overall experience was pleasant. The staff was friendly. This location does offer a pool but no sauna or steam room.

Our family has really enjoyed being members. It's nice to be able to drop my kids off at a place where they can have fun while we work out, and the pool makes for a great way to try and beat this heat. The lifeguards are always so attentive, too!

Disgusting. My mother who has been a member for over 50 years was banned from the place after asking a camp counselor if she understood English. The counselor who was tending to a bunch of kids refused to answer or acknowledge my mother after she asked her several times to have some of the kids who were done dressing step out of the dressing area. So because she did not acknowledge my mother, my mother simply asked her if she understood english thinking maybe she didn't and that was the reason for her nonresponse. But another counselor who was non involved only heard the question concerning understanding g English and took it as a slight. So the following day when my mother went back to swim they told her she was banned for life. The manager KERRY did even care to hear what my mom had to say she listened then told her she was banned. There was no discrimination toward the counselor. However I hope that no one goes there again WOKENESS has taken over and you can't even ask a person a question. I feel that they banned my mother because she is an elderly white woman and was not given any recourse to try and retain her membership.50 years mean nothing to these people.

Banned a member after 50 year because she a camp counselor would not acknowledge her after several attempts and then asked the counselor if she understood english thinking maybe she didn't. So because she was mistreated after not providing customer service she gets banned for life. WOKE business you could be next for asking the wrong question. Don't go there. The discriminate against elderly white woman and don't care about faithful customers who have been there for 50 YEARS

I recommend this place to everyone who will listen. Need a great gym with a variety of equipment? EJ YMCA. Looking for group classes for adults AND kiddos? EJ YMCA. Need a few hours in the morning to yourself a couple times a week or a trusted sitter for Friday date night? EJ YMCA. Adult programs, summer camp, holiday events and parties? Say less, check out the EJ YMCA. There truly is something for everyone. I promise. And I don't say that lightly. The childcare staff cannot be beat. Membership fees are affordable. In fact, I loved it so much I started teaching yoga here a few years ago. My whole family loves this place and it is probably one of the things we will miss most about living in the area. The quality and value that you get here is much more than a gym. There's always something fun going on. You won't regret signing up!

Skeptical about the childcare. The 2 lady staff are very young and don't look enthusiastic to work with the babies. They don't smile. They just sit there and look at the kids. They don't even introduce themselves. When I picked up my child, he was the only child left. There were 5 staff including a guy just stating at him.Love the gym and the classes. But if I can't trust the child care staff then I will have to cancel the full paid family membership.

I am visiting the area and was searching for a gym that offered classes. Upon researching other gyms nearby I found a couple but they offered ridiculously expensive drop in fees (20.00 & 25.00 to be exact). I had called prior to visiting and was told the drop in fee was 10.00 and I felt that was a fair price. Location is convenient as it is only a 13 min drive from my hotel. Upon entering no one was at the front desk but I was greeted by an employee behind me. She was a bit abrupt at first but turned out to be very friendly & had me complete a form since I had never been to a YMCA before. She also stated that my first visit is free which was very nice. There are three different class studios (spin & 2 group X rooms). As for the class itself, I took the first one of the day (Butts & Guts) & it is listed as a 60 min class but actually divided into two 30 min classes (first half core, 2nd half strength and a little low impact cardio move at the end). Instructor's name was Patti I believe and very sweet and welcoming. All of the members were also very nice and welcoming it's just that the class was geared more towards seniors and was a freestyle format so all over the place. Class schedules are listed on each room and there was another class offered simultaneously which I should have probably taken instead of this one as I wanted to sweat. I will definitely be back my remaining two days to take some of the other classes available.Facility is pretty old but clean. Lockers have their own built in locks and you must exchange an asset of yours for a key (I used my gym lock). Another plus is the gym wasn't crowded but the class did get full.

While layout for staging was thoughtful and not crowded, the event had very low attendance. Many vendors had an abundance of product and no audience/buyers. Too much work for too little benefit.

I had to cancel an aquatics class for my son and left multiple messages for the director, Taylor who just never returned my calls. I’ve been calling for a month. The class is next weekend. Looks like I lost $200. ??

I can't get back into my other review, but Taylor did return my call and process the refund.
