This place is great. The owner helped me frame a sentimental piece for my late pet and he was so helpful and kind. He was very knowledgeable and took his time to make sure everything would be perfect for me. I cannot recommend this place enough

The best art store I have ever visited, the owner is a sweetheart, she taught us the types of painting and the different things you can do, they have wonderful things and a wide variety of products, books and brands, it is incredible I loved it, I would return anyway.
If you are an artist or are just starting out in this field, you still have to come, since all the products can teach you how to use them, so that you can use them well. And best of all, they do workshops with great artists.

A MUST GO TO destination when in in NOLA. Painting, sculpting, casting supplies abound, along with kid’s art projects, tiny, medium, and large bottles, cans, droppers, coloring books, ….. on and on. Friendly, and informative staff.

I have been a customer of David Art for some time now. Before the owner knew who I was, he followed me around, making me uncomfortable as if I was going to steal something. The owner is very rude and generally makes it uncomfortable when dealing with him. I don't have a problem with the store, but I think it would be a better experience without him. This one star is specifically for him.

I prefer to buy my art supplies from here every chance I get. They offer a dizzying selection of niches from calligraphy, drafting, block printing, paint, easels etc. the inventory tends away from fiber and fabric related crafts and more towards paint sculpture and pen type crafts but they do carry basics for all sorts of crafts including specialty things like airbrush kits, Smooth-On, Montanas, gold leafing, miniature making, striling and lettering brushes, etc. Every time I go in I'm almost overwhelmed by the selection .

I love going to David Art Center, the staff and owners are always super helpful. They will go above and beyond to make sure you can get what you need. I am so thankful for such a great store in town so I can get the markers and paints I need the same day, I can keep working instead of waiting for an online shipment.
