Quick turnaround on develop and scan for both 35mm and 120. Excellent work with it as well. I'd much rather support a local business than ship film to be developed.

Decent, scan quality is good. But they not longer call you when your film is done? I’ve been getting my film developed for 12+ years at many different film establishments and never had a shop not call when they are ready. Not professional in my opinion, as I have to call myself and check if they are ready. A really simple step that they started skipping within the last year. I would get my film done elsewhere if they weren’t the only place to get film developed in New Orleans area. Almost like they know that they’re the only spot and are like “take what you get.” I miss when they used to be more organized, but staff are friendly.

I miss when this used to be a quality spot. The last time I went here a year ago, they told me that they might be able to develop a certain type of film that I had but they weren’t 100% sure if it would come out because they didn’t have the proper chemicals to develop it. I should’ve said no instead of trusting the woman who told me this and just gone and done it a few months later whenever I was going to New York. it did not come out, and I can’t tell if it ruined the negatives or not. they charged me for it, of course, but threw away all the packaging and didn’t label so I have no way of getting it developed or even knowing what processing they did do to it. The last time that I had gone here before then was pre-pandemic and they somehow lost a few shots of my film. it’s just really bums me out because I went here for many years before I stopped going and tried to give it another shot and was very disappointed.

CHECK YOUR PHOTOS BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!! I made the mistake and 16 of the most important photos of our wedding ceremony was missing-- they blamed it on the printer going out and their computer system-- but after spending $205 there and not getting prints for 13 days-- it's wiser to buy a good Canon photo printer and do it yourself for that price.

I had a very positive experience today at Bennett's Photo. Their customer-forward attitude is why they've been in business since 1909.

The Filmscans are poor. Scanned my Black & White Film here and the Scans came out so Dark and with such a strong Contrast. I thought that i shot them probably like that, too bright. But after I scanned them again in a different Spot I have to say that money that i spent at Bennett's was for nothing. Some photos are definitely not the best ones when it comes to light-settings, but at least i can edit them a bit with the new scans with the Scan from Bennett it was just all black.

Great place to get your film developed and scanned! Brought my first roll of 35mm film here recently and the price to have it scanned and developed was more than fair. I received an email with my scans 2 days later and was happy with the quality. Will definitely be back.

Reliable film processing spot the the turnaround time is a big drawback for me! I'm super appreciative for all the work i've had processed there but sometimes it's upwards of 8,9 days to wait for your scans & negs.

I have been using Bennetts Photo since before they moved to 18th Street. Have loved everyone in the place. Very professional, helpful with decisions and extremely pleasant. Not to mention the great work they have done with my photos. Thank you so much.

Terrible costumer service. The lady working in there today was extremely rude. When the man helping me couldn't find my order she talked to me like an I was an idiot. This after the woman was bad mouthing the lady who wasn't happy with her prints when I first walked in. One of the other men working there even had to tell her to go back to work. So unprofessional. Not mention I was never even called to pick up my $700+ order of disposable camera footage from my wedding. I did miss the fine print where digital copies only are available for 3 weeks, which is totally my fault. However, I do believe you should verbally tell your costumers this as well. So be warned download your photos asap if getting anything digital!

I'm so happy New Orleans has a place like this. It seems like a small business. This one lady I always encounter is very helpful and sweet. It's across from Akira and they have parking right in front of the door for Bennett's Photo customers. I turned in my film camera and got my digital ones sent to me in about a week. The price was also very good to develop my films. I got it sent digitally as well as printed. I live in Baton Rouge, so I wasn't able to pick up my films until about a whole month after. I lost my ticket to pick it up, but I was able to give her my email and name and she easily found and gave me my photos. Bennett's photo is very professional and a great service. You can even mail them your camera and they will develop your photos. When I picked up my printed photos, they packed it so nicely and neatly and even gave the actual film in the camera back! The photos looked great and definitely brings me nostalgia. Will use this service again! Highly recommend!

not very courteous customer service. Closed all day on Fridays and limited hours. I'd suggest calling ahead to make sure they are open and can do what you are looking for.
