My dryer went out recently and my landlord used Barto to replace it. Never again. The entire experience was unpleasant, from the initial phone call (actually ELEVEN back to back phone calls, the last 9 of which I declined because I told them I was driving through busy Baton Rouge traffic), to the day-of call which didn't happen until he was 3 minutes away from my house (after telling me he’d call 30 minutes before), to the “installation” in which they basically trashed my entire backyard and laundry room and left my gate standing wide open after I’d told them I had dogs. Lazy, incompetent, rude, and predatory. I am not one to leave reviews, but jfc this company is a mess and I genuinely, from the bottom of my heart hope they go out of business sooner rather than later.

BUYER BEWARE! LETS BEGIN WITH I'VE OVERLOOKED OTHER REVIEWS BECAUSE SOMETIMES YOU JUST CAN'T SATISFY PEOPLE. I PURCHASED SOME APPLIANCES FROM THIS SHAFY COMPANY AND PUT OFF THE DELIVERY BECAUSE I Had SOME THINGS TO GET RID OF TO MAKE ROOM. SOMEONE FROM BARTO COMPANY CALLED THE FINANCE COMPANY AND LIED TO THEM ABOUT THE MERCHANDISE BEING DELIVERED TO ME, WHICH CAUSED THEM TO START DEDUCTION OF PAYMENTS WHICH ALSO CAUSED NSF FEES. PAYMENTS START TWO WEEKS OR A WEEK AFTER DELIVERY! TERRY (SALESPERSON) PRETENDED SHE DIDN'T KNOW WHICH I DON'T BELIEVE BECAUSE SHE FAILED TO TELL ME THAT THE SALE WAS IN JEPODARY OF BEING CANCELED AND SHE WOULDN'T BE PAID! NOW LETS MOVE TO THE MERCHANDISE BEING DELIVERED by UNCLE RUCKUS WHICH AGAIN IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE! Upon A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN HOOKING EVERYTHING UP I RECEIVED A DAMAGED DRYER CORD AND THE WATERHOSE ON THE WASHING MACHINE HAD A HOLE IN IT! So NOW WE HAVE TWO ISSUES, THE NSF FEES AND DAMAGED EQUIPMENT WHICH NOW THEY ARE AVOIDING ME ON BOTH! TERY STARTED AVOIDING MY CALLS AND OR LYING ABOUT THE SITUATION, THEN BRETT THE OWNER PRETENDED TO BE A WORKER TO AVOID REIMBURSEMENT OF THE NSF FEES HIS COMPANY CAUSED BECAUSE OF THE LIES. The WAREHOUSE MANAGER HAS MORE CUSTOMER SERVICE KSA TGEN BOTH OF THEM BECAUSE HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WILLING TO TRY TO HELP WITH THE DAMAGED MERCHANDISE. THEN THEY TRIED TO CHANGE THE CONTRACT WITHOUT A SIGNATURE, WHICH IS ILLEGAL. DON'T TRUST NO ONE FROM THAT COMPANY OWNER, SALESPERSON, AND DELIVERY.All n ALL FIND ANOTHER COMPANY. Whenever people can't have the basic RESPECT AND INTEGRITY JUST LEAVE THEM WHERE YOU FIND THEM. Be careful how you treat people you don't know their relationship with God.

Barto Appliance offers everything and more in terms of service, prices, and products. The staff is so helpful in asking the right questions to offer you the best options. I bought all of our kitchen appliances and a room air conditioner, and will certainly be a returning customer in the future. If you want to support a local business with great service, then Barto is the place to go!

Barto Appliance is a my go to store for any appliance. Their prices are cheaper than any of the big box stores, and I'd rather buy from a dependable local company like Barto. The sales staff are all friendly and knowledgeable about all of their products. They explain the differences in the models, and even recommended that I buy the mid priced refrigerator because it was basically the same as the high end one. Also, the delivery and installation is quick and clean. Compare prices and you will find that Barto always offers the best value.

I am doing a whole home remodel and was looking for new appliances. I visited Barto Appliances in Metairie and bought everything through them. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions that I may have had. If you are looking for a place that will go above and beyond for you this is it. You will never get this experience with any big box store.

WARNING:I bought a Window A/C Unit with Heat December 2022. I figured since it was new it wouldn't have any issues. Being that is was still somewhat warm in New Orleans I didn't use the heat feature on the A/C. However, 4 days after securing the window unit in a window the temperature dropped. I attempted to use the Heat feature on the NEW UNIT but no heat came out. I unplugged it and plugged it in several times in an attempt to reset the until but still didn't work. I attempted to take the New A/C Unit back yo Barto to try to exchange it or Return it but was informed that they would not allow me to return it or give me a credit. They advised me yo contact Frigidaire for repair, however, the phone number they gave me does not give you an option to get it serviced. Also, it does not allow you to talk to a Real Person. Therefore, I'm stuck with paying for a Unit that does not perform properly. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN. I would rather pay a little more at Home Depot or Lowes. Barto just happen to be the only place in the local area that had an A/C window Unit with Heat. #NotSatisfied #RippedOff

This place is great. Have purchased both a wall oven and later a dishwasher and both times they've been helpful without doing an aggressive super sell on me. I appreciate their knowledge and their laid back approach.

I purchased a window unit and within 3 weeks the unit broke. I called barto and they told me that they have nothing to do with warranty repairs on their unit. I had to contact my credit card company to stop payment. After I stopped the payment barto contacted me immediately and told me that I couldn’t do that. They are now picking up their broken ac unit from my home. They did not offer any help to rectify this problem. Buyer beware!
