Doug answered my call and scheduled my appointment. He was very friendly and had a great attitude. Tim was my consultant and again very friendly and informative. I am very happy with the service I received and appreciate their honesty and hospitality.

I normally leave detailed reviews but after dealing with my car’s stalling situation for 4 MONTHS and the complete lies, gaslighting, and unconcern from this company which I found out is also the same owner as Metairie I literally was crying over this in the end & I think I have PTSD. Let’s just say it was so bad that I was forced to buy another vehicle during a recession & I made sure not to get a VW because I can’t handle ever having to deal with these people again. This dealership will lie about the cost before you bring your vehicle in, then try & charge you more for doing even less work than the quote, then lie again & attempt to charge you more without your consent AFTER they do the work. When I picked up my vehicle there was another woman in there complaining about them as well, stating that her issues are never fixed and she’s always charged $1000+ and she never had these issues with her former dealership in Alabama. It’s no wonder that when I called the dealership in Baton Rouge they told me that they get a lot of customers from the New Orleans area. These people are single-handedly ruining Volkswagen in this area and good luck finding many other mechanics outside of them who know VW. After dealing with this for 4 months it is quite a long story but I will say that my car was stalling and this dealership assured me that it was due to a carbon issue even though a previous mechanic and another VW dealership out of town promised me that would not cause stalling. They then charged me almost $1000 and, like the other mechanics warned me, the problem was not fixed. Come to find out I’m almost positive it was due to a RECALL ISSUE and no one felt the need to be HONEST with me in admitting to that so I had to get another vehicle. This dealership now refuses to refund me any of my payment when I was forced to buy another vehicle with a higher note than I’d like at the moment . If I could rate zero, I would. If you’re looking for a dealership with honesty & integrity, THIS IS NOT IT. I would highly recommend going to Baton Rouge or further out than dealing with these people. Seeing as how many of the five star reviews for them on google say absolutely nothing , I also think they have fictitious reviews on here. If you need a more honest look at their reviews, check out their 2 star rating on Yelp.

It is sad for me to have to go this far. I have purchased 4-6 automobiles from this dealership over the years. Have had a couple of issues come up and the standard line has been we will look in to it and call back. Well it would be out of sight and mind and would forget. We are going down the same road and now after 7 voicemails, 2 emails and a few calls sitting on hold I get nothing. “NO” is not a bad word and if that is the answer just let me know. This is actually what I think is the General Manager of the dealership that is conducting himself in this manner. Love VW’s especially this Atlas. Sad that I have been asked to go shop somewhere else. I guess they have too much business and no need to hand into loyal folks!

The last 2 times I scheduled just an oil change. The first appointment took 2hrs for an oil change. The second oil change took almost 3 hrs. This dealership doesn’t value the time of its customers. I can only assume because the next closest VW dealership is across the causeway Mandeville VW is mistakenly guessing customers will deal with the sub-standard service rather than drive. I won’t be under appreciated especially when I’m paying $121.00 for an oul change. I won’t be back.

Dealerships are always pushy, so that part is understandable, but the blatant disregard for customers after leaving the dealership is overwhelming. If you need to contact anyone that is not a salesman, good luck. It won't happen.

This is not only the worst Volkswagen dealership, but the worst dealership I have ever been to. Steven was the most courteous and respectful person to deal with over here... Since his departure, good luck! My 2020 Tiguan has had an oil consumption problem for over a year and this dealership has done nothing but top the oil off, “run tests”, and tell me how normal this is for your vehicle to need oil every 2,000 miles. Upon my latest visit, my car needed oil 2,000 miles after my most recent oil change and the mechanic felt the need to express that he was not getting paid for putting free oil in my car. This place is an absolute joke and DOUGLAS has no respect for customers. He has so many issues with customers at this location that he doesn’t even remember who you are or what your issue is. Pathetic and sad!

I am updating my post as a result of the actions taken by the Service Manager and General Manager of the dealership. After careful review and several emails and phones I must give credit to the leadership team at VW of Mandeville for ensuring they take the necessary steps to ensure complete customer satisfaction. What I did fail to state in my previous posting is I have had my vehicle serviced multiple times at VW of Mandeville and not experienced an issue like the one below. On the contrary, I was always satisfied with the work performed. The case below is more of a communication issue that has since been resolved. Thanks again for responding and I appreciate your dedication to customer service. I would recommend this team as a first choice for sales and service.Frustrated and Disappointed. I dropped off my 2020 Atlas SC late Monday afternoon and filled out the service order inquiring about the required items for a 50,000 mile service. The service advisor called and informed me it required several filter replacements and an inspection of the brake pads. I responded on the phone explaining that I just had my brake pads changed at VW of Mandeville recently (they were replaced on June 14th) and there would be no need for the pad inspection. The advisor mentioned that all he would do was provide a measurement understanding/knowing that the brakes were just serviced. The disappointment came in when I was handed a total bill for $516.00, $320 of which was for a brake flush that I did not approve, especially after stating your dealership just changed out the pads approx. 60 days ago. Rather than cause a scene I chose not to say anything. As the evening passed I realized I needed to inform the dealership of very poor customer service. I have purchased 2 vehicles from VW of Mandeville and all my service has been at his dealership. Sadly, this incident will cause me to take my business elsewhere. I am sending this notice in the hopes your company will address this issue with the service department. Taking advantage of loyal customers is not how I would imagine the ownership of VW of Mandeville envisions long term growth.

I needed to get my compressor replaced and condenser after car had only 69000 miles. I am a research junkie and consulted another mechanic. The labor should have been 5-6 hours. They charged 14 hours of labor at over 150$ per. No way it took that long for the repair. Me and my family feel that we were taken advantage of. Inflated the repair costs to an almost embarrassingly high price. Lost my business for the future. Enjoy your commission money VW of Mandeville. Rip off artists. Stay away.

I came in for my Taos' first oil change and tire rotation. My appointment was for 1:00pm and when I arrived, I was told that it would be 45-1 hour to complete. 2 and half hours later I had to ask for my car back. It was done, sitting in the shop when I was told it wouldn't be much longer an hour before that. I understand things happen, but the staff was goofing off, talking about their dates since it was a Friday night, cursing loudly and simply ignoring me when I was asking about the status of the car. I expected to be done by 2:00pm and when I left there at 3:30, I was late to carline to pick up my son. The blatant disrespect for time and not communicating to the customer means I will not be bringing my vehicle back here ever again. Poor service, VW of Mandeville.

The customer service was great. Kudos to you all on the front end. The only issue, I dropped the car off and had to leave town. My wife was to pick the car up. They had an issue finding a mechanic (which made me a tad nervous), but once the car was fixed and ready, the price had moved $400. I was quoted $1575. I even asked, should I expect any unexpected cost. I was told, no, this is not a parts heavy job, just labor intensive, so the price should not move. My wife went to pick up the car and it was $1900+. She was told there were some parts that had to be added... and so on.. she told them the price was much higher than quoted. After a few words trying to iron out details... the gentlemen walks to the back, comes back 2 minutes later and says its now $1700+. I get worried about the inconsistencies of pricing. We should have received a phone call the moment that they knew the price changed. However, all that being said, the experience was good and I would come back. I just hope you guys are being fair and honest in your work. Thank you!

First time visiting VW Mandeville, had scheduled appt for safety/maintenance check up on my 2016 Beetle. Although car had to be left longer than initially told, Nick took the time to go over all my questions with me and was friendly when I came for car the following day. I was told service tech stayed late previous evening to finish checking out my car, which is appreciated. Thanks.

All businesses go through ebbs and flows and this one has made vast improvements over the last few years and while reality tells us you cannot make 100% of the people happy they are making an effort. I have always said, Unhappy people leave reviews and happy people seem to forget to leave them. Great job VW Mandeville on your efforts!

I was cross shopping several competitors vehicles in addition to the 2023 VW Jetta SE I ultimately bought. I was impressed with the value, fit and finish, as well as the Jetta’s performance, handling, fuel economy and general good mature appearance. What sealed the deal was the professional no nonsense no games sales approach of my salesman, Ricky. He was fair, no games, no BS. If my vehicle continues to perform as it is, I’ll be upgrading to the GLI in a few years. Great experience.

The employees in the service department are wonderful. However my car is almost two years old and I’ve been waiting for a part to fix the seat for it to be able to recline. It’s been broken since I bought the car. They had it last week when I went but I couldn’t believe I had to wait that long. Also the fact that no one called me to check up. I had to call to check to see if part came in or not. It just so happened when I went in to get my oil change they had it. I almost asked for a few free oil changes for the inconvenience but that’s not who I am. However they are very nice and helpful. I just wish the actual service was better. I do love my car that I purchased and hope to upgrade in the future.
