I normally leave detailed reviews but after dealing with my car stalling for 4 MONTHS and the complete lies, gaslighting, and unconcern from this company which I found out is also the same owner as Metairie I literally was crying over this in the end & I think I have PTSD. Let's just say it was so bad that I was forced to buy another vehicle during a recession & I made sure not to get a VW because I can't handle ever having to deal with these people again. This dealership will lie about the cost before you bring your vehicle in, then try & charge you more for doing even less work than the quote, then lie again & charge you more without your consent after they do the work. When I picked up my vehicle there was another woman in there complaining about them as well, stating that her issues are never fixed and she's always charged $1000+ and she never had these issues with her former dealership in Alabama. It's no wonder that when I called the dealership in Baton Rouge they told me that they get a lot of customers from the New Orleans area. These people are single-handedly ruining Volkswagen in this area and good luck finding many other mechanics outside of them who know VW. After dealing with this for 4 months it is quite a long story but I will say that my car was stalling and this dealership assured me that it was due to a carbon issue even though a previous mechanic and another VW dealership out of town promised me that would not cause stalling. They then charged me almost $1000 and, like the other mechanics warned me, the problem was not fixed. Come to find out I'm almost positive it was due to a recall issue and no one felt the need to be honest with me in admitting to that so I had to get another vehicle. This dealership now refuses to refund me any of my payment when I was forced to buy another vehicle with a higher note than I'd like at the moment . If I could rate zero, I would. If you're looking for a dealership with honesty & integrity, THIS IS NOT IT. I would highly recommend going to Baton Rouge or further out rather than deal with these people. The previous review which described them as "shameless crooks" sums it up quite well.

I needed to get my compressor replaced and condenser after car had only 69000 miles. I am a research junkie and consulted another mechanic. The labor should have been 5-6 hours. They charged 14 hours of labor at over 150$ per. No way it took that long for the repair. Me and my family feel that we were taken advantage of. Inflated the repair costs to an almost embarrassingly high price. Lost my business for the future. Enjoy your commission money VW of Mandeville. Rip off artists. Stay away.

All businesses go through ebbs and flows and this one has made vast improvements over the last few years and while reality tells us you cannot make 100% of the people happy they are making an effort. I have always said, Unhappy people leave reviews and happy people seem to forget to leave them. Great job VW Mandeville on your efforts!

SOLD ME A CAR WITH HIDDEN DAMAGE. This dealer sold me a new car, we paid a new car price, and found out after our first trip to a VW service department that the vehicle had been damaged, repaired, repainted, and sold new without disclosure. There were some "We owe you" items on the bill of sale and we took the vehicle to our local VW dealer to address these items. The service manager at our local dealer in Texas pulled us aside and pointed out that the car had been damaged and repainted. He noted that there were overspray spots, tape from the repair on the inside door panel, and that the paint did not quite match. He suggested that we call VW Mandeville and have them address the issue. When we contacted the dealer and asked for Jason Peltz - the GM who signed off on the deal - we could only get through to Doug the service manager. This was in September of 2022. It is now February 2023 and JASON PELTZ, the GM, will not pick up the phone and speak with us. Doug asked us to take the vehicle to a VW certified service department and get an estimate on what it would take to get the driver quarter panel repaired. When JASON PELTZ got the estimate - $7,500, he refused to pay for the repair and have refused to take further calls from us. This has been going on for months now and VW Mandeville refuses to take accountability for selling us a car with damage. We are not asking for a refund or a new car (like we paid for), we are asking that VW Mandeville take care of their customers and take accountability for selling a new car that is not in new condition. VW Mandeville was paid $50,000 and we received a damaged (hidden damage) VW Atlas Cross Sport. When you shop in a new car dealer show room and buy a new car, and pay new car prices, you don't expect to have to take the vehicle to a mechanic to inspect the vehicle for hidden damage. You expect that the VW dealer is selling you a new car. That is not what happened here. I have been a VW owner for 35 years, have bought 11 new VWs from dealers, and have never experienced what we experienced with VW Mandeville. These people are not to be trusted. This issue keeps us up at night knowing that we got scammed by these people and they WILL NOT take accountability for their transgression, even after being called out by a fellow VW dealer. New car buying is supposed to be an exciting and satisfying experience, but this has turned into a nightmare. Do not subject yourself to the same experience. These people are not honest and will not live up to their promises or their name. The owner/principle Mrs Walker needs to do a serious evaluation of the people she has working for her.

Great nice staff. Explain what my car repair needs in detail. Was able to get approved with extended warranty. They are understaffed so communication was a bit delayed but very friendly and work was done really fast considering they part was ordered! Thank you for being so friendly! Their merch shop has the best quality clothes! With nice selection of cleaners and random VW logo items. Definitely check it out!

Called multiple times to schedule warranty service. Asked for call back to confirm. Nothing. Dropped off the car on the day I tried to confirm for. They took it. A days job. Dropped off on Thursday. Friday afternoon I got a call. Hallelujah. Ready Monday at noon or they will call. Nothing. So Tuesday I show up for the call. The technician was out yesterday. Maybe finished today. Tuesday. Wednesday at the "latest". No ride offered. No loaner car. No rental cars available. I sit. The manager and 2 service people are there. Talking about Bitcoin. Nobody checks on me. Lyft comes. An hour and a half wasted.

I used to LOVE this dealership and service department SO much. Though I believe they share owners with Walker VW, I gladly made the trek to the Northshore to buy and service all 4 of our VWs. I would have swam across the lake with my Touareg strapped to my back before setting foot in the Walker service department. I noticed several years ago that things were changing. Courtesies disappeared. Calls and e-mails weren't returned. I practically had to force them to sell me my Arteon; it truly seemed that they had zero interest in letting me test drive and the salesman was unable to answer most questions about the model. The financials for trading in our CC and financing were so laughably ridiculous that I kept the CC and payed cash for the Arteon. Seemed like a great idea until I found myself with TWO cars (one still under warranty) that require service from a service department that seems to have neither the interest nor the ability to handle that. They practically NEVER answer the phone. The "service guy" is always either "late", "out sick", or "at training" (that doesn't seem to be making him any better at fixing things.) Compound that problem with loss of Car-Net capability with a promised fix no where to be seen..... and I'm now looking at other car makes for the first time in 23 years. I'm sad that Walker and their other named entities have made our area a Volkswagen dead zone.

Made an appointment for an oil change to be done. My appt was for 1:30. I arrived at 1:15, I asked how long it would take and was told maybe an hour to an hour and 15 minutes. I left at 3pm with no oil change. Simple communication that they were going to be way behind would have been great. I would have just rescheduled instead of sitting in the lobby for an hour and a half. My time is just a valuable as yours. Time wasted, I will not go back there for any service.

I had a terrible experience buying my brand new vehicle here. They lied about the vehicle I purchased. The staff is unprofessional & apparently cannot communicate with one another. I will NEVER buy another vehicle from this dealership.

My husband spent $1200.00 to get his check engine light fixed. We picked the car up on Friday and Monday the light is back on. My husband goes to drop it back off and the service guy was rude and annoyed he was back!! Not only that they do not call and give updates and the status of the vehicle. This is incredibly inconsiderate service.

I can't imagine actually buying a car here. I contacted them about something they had listed. I was ready to buy immediately if we could agree in advance on price. It's list way too high. Instead of actually addressing my email, I got a form letter back with platitudes about how transparent they are and the usual dealer stuff. I replied with an email thanking them for the form letter and sarcastic remark about how "helpful" they were and that i was moving on. The reply? Another form letter! LOL.If this is them before the sale, I can only imagine how they'd be after. AVOID.
