Saia's has an excellent old school meat market where you can get steaks cut to order along with homemade sausages and hard to find items like rabbit. I went in a couple of days ago and got the butcher to cut me a 24oz Prime porterhouse for my wife's birthday and the damned thing came out like butter. Pretty good booze selection and the deli does poboys and old fashioned fried chicken including Gizzards! I recommend the place for all of your meat, booze and fried chicken needs.

We've been shopping at Saia's for many years. Their ground beef, steaks, sausage, pork chops, every meat item we've tried has always been the best of anywhere around and prices are good. Their fried chicken and fried shrimp poboys are great also.

Great prices, and we went for the shrimp Poeboys I paid less than $20 for Two of them. One alone cast $24 with tax at other places. They have the best finger sandwiches. Great for parties, they have a lady that makes all the party trays and she does a beautiful job the staff are very nice and always willing to help! Must tri!

Today after 3pm the fried chicken was just made. It was the freshest, crispiest, tastiest chicken we've ever bought there. I think they had just changed the oil. My my! So good. The PoBoys were also good but much less shrimp than they used to have. Said used to be known for overstuffed PoBoys all in the paper wrapping but now the shrimp don't fill the sandwich and they're smaller but still taste good. Prices also went up but still cheapest around.

They had a decent Northshore Poboy. Unique store with a large selection of alcoholic beverages and a nice selection of butchered meats in the back.

Hands down the BEST Shrimp ? poboy on the northshore!! Saia’s Meat Market! I’m not a big bread lover but this bread is so soft and LOADED with shrimp. It’s delicious!! Highly Highly Recommended!!

One of the best reasons to visit Louisiana is visiting this store. They have a wonderful meat/butcher counter, including veal. And a decent wine/ liquor selection. All I need to find now is a place that sells a good selection of lamb.

I called in an order to be efficient. Apparently asking for jalapeños as an extra was too much for the woman who needed to roll her eyes at me. Baby if you don’t wanna work sit at home. I get food here all the time. Never have I ever been treated like this. Maybe she should roll her eyes straight to the unemployment line.

Po boy was pretty good. I couldn’t beat the price $8.99 for a Large Shrimp.

Stopped in to get a few steaks to grill and they were excellent. The meat department was very helpful and hand cut my ribeyes just the way I wanted at no additional cost. These were the best steaks I've had in years.

I shop here as much as I can before HAVING to go to the grocery store. Also, went to Popeye's for chicken and their chicken legs are the size of a wing. No exaggeration. When I show up on time for fresh fried chicken at Saia's, I am reminded why I don't go to Popeye's any more. Good ole Louisiana hot sauce and Saia's fried chicken when it's fresh should be patented. Back to normal size chicken. ? YAY! ? The meats are top notch too. The guys back there work hard and will cut it how you like it. I'm happy every time I go. Blue Bell ice cream is on sale pretty often lately too. ?Very Convenient.

The store is a great place and the meat Dept has a great staff, but the Deli is a toxic place.
