Whether you be a stiff novice, or a balanced practitioner: the warm, inviting instructors I have come to love here will guide you toward the best edits to enhance your yogic flow. They offer options to strive for new thresholds in your body, or conversely, teach you to safely curtail poses to suit respective bodily limitations. The people who make a studio are what bring me back, for like begets like. I am truly grateful to practice with these genuine, living embodiments of ahimsa (a veritable lack of intent to harm) that the owner has assembled as the foundational staff members which sustain her studio.

When I moved to the Mandeville area, I tried several studios for a couple of months to see in which I would fit in, and chose JUST BREATHE for the following reasons:1) Sounds. The playlists are curated to the practice, for me music is key to connecting to my mind and body and harness the power within. They play beautiful music. Most classes we are gifted with a sound bath with crystal bowls for shavasana. For some specific classes they play the Gongs as well.2) The owner has a background on trauma, is on a healing journey, and this studio is her love blooming. She intended to create a safe space for practice and growth and she is achieving it beautifully. With a background on cptsd myself, knowing this, made me feel understood and loved, without having to tell each other our story. She has also traveled and learned yoga internationally, and as an international yogi myself, I appreciate that, her experience and expertise flows through in class.3) The studio itself is beautiful. All wood, dimmed lights, the gongs, the bowls, everything makes the perfect ambiance for a beautiful dive within; and there is a deck on the back so when the weather is nice we take the practice outside surrounded by bamboo trees and the sound of chirping birds. Those were my main reasons, but other nice things is that they have plenty of equipment to lend, as good quality mats, blocks, blankets and bolsters. It is close to the waterfront so I can pair my practice with watching the sunrise or sunset.Oh, and they are on the MindBody App so it is very convenient to look at the schedule and plan your days ?

Big Mistake to purchase the "New Student Unlimited Pass" for 2 weeks. It's NOT "UNLIMITED". It does NOT last 2 weeks! They cancel many classes at thelast minute AND lock you out of class AFTER you registered AND paid. No standard 5 minute grace period. No Refund! And NO Response! It's intentionaly deceptive, they will try to charge you twice. This studio's focus is selling expensive retreats for thousands of dollars to exotic locations, along with expensive teacher training courses for the wealthy. They offer very little to the everyday Yogi looking for Mind/Body Healing. If $50 is a lot of money to you and you do not have thousands of dollars to fly to Greece for Yoga, and you dont want to to be mislead, locked out and cancelled, this studio is NOT for you.

I really enjoyed the yoga class today and will definitely be back again. The studio also hosted three wonderful vendors this afternoon in the driveway and a lot of people came out. Great day all around!

At the end of last summer I was encouraged to find a local group or community to get involved with. You see I work from home and don’t really have the opportunity to meet others through my job. I’m also not from Mandeville so it had been quite challenging to find ways to make new friends. As most of you know the last few years I have been on a major health journey losing a total of 110 pounds!! My original goal was simply to get healthy. So healthy habits and movement have become an important part of my lifestyle. After trying a few yoga videos at home last summer, I realized there was really something to this whole yoga thing. So I ventured out of my comfort zone and tried yoga at Just Breathe Yoga Studio in Old Mandeville. I immediately felt welcomed by every teacher I met taking various classes. Even the other students were kind and welcoming. I knew in that first week that this was the place for me. Let me just tell you, there is so much more to yoga than just physical fitness… it is a practice to come home to your true authentic self in a safe and loving environment. After practicing yoga with Just Breathe Yoga studio for just over a month, when Monica Sharp (studio owner) welcomed our class to join Yoga Teacher Training I felt an incredible inner guidance telling me I needed to do this. This was what I was supposed to do next on my healing and health journey. So I signed up!! Over the last 6 months (one weekend per month) not only have I been learning and training to teach yoga, I’m learning body, mind and spiritual wellness, Ayurvedic lifestyle (healing through the foods we eat with our amazing teacher Katelyn Sonnier) and such a wide range of health and healing practices. My heart is full in becoming a part of this beautiful community of fellow yogis. This past weekend was an amazing weekend for our entire group of trainees… We taught our very first yoga class to each other!! We were all so anxious but also felt liberated, supported and loved by our entire group as we each had our turn. This has been one of the best experiences! I wanted to share with you a few pictures of me teaching my first yoga class?♀️. When you find what you are truly passionate about you want to share that gift with the world ?! I absolutely love being able to share what I’ve learned with others and plan to continue teaching after graduation next month. Stay tuned! I will let everyone know when I teach my first official class. I would love for you to join me! If you find yourself on the Northshore in Mandeville, come and see our beautiful community at Just Breathe Yoga. This is my home away from home. I know you will feel welcomed here to! ❤️?♀️

Tranquil studio in the heart of Mandeville, a charming town on the north shore of Lake Ponchatrain, across from New Orleans. Well appointed, indoor practice area as well as an amazing outdoor deck space for practice when weather permits.

I enjoy this place a great deal out of several yoga studios I've been to across the country. Instructors take good care of the practice with students with optional tips. Perfect Yoga routines with a balance of silence, instruction, and spirituality. A variety of classes, positive vibe while not being overbearing with a sense of humor! Wonderful Yoga place in Mandeville, fortunate to have!
