This store employs the most rude women cashiers that I've ever encountered. I go to a lot of DG's for certain items but will avoid this particular store in the future. They seem like they hate their jobs and everyone there! So sad!

This store will not answer the phone, I have called over 25 times in the last two weeks to speak with a manager but they refuse to answer the phone.

Yea I'd absolutely give you zero stars and even negative stars if possible. How you advertise closing at 10pm I walk 6 miles to get there for a pack of cigarettes and try opening door at 953 and that new dude with the goatee gonna tell me y'all closed I said it ain't 10 yet all I need is 1 item he says too bad we ready to go. Gotta be kidding me. Where they do that at. Absolutely despicable. This was 953 pm on Wednesday April 5, 2023.

I had problems turning the basket in this particular dollar store. Around every corner it was too much stuff on the ground the isles are too closed to each other. But after all that the worker was very rude for no reason. Probably because all that stuff was in the way and she don’t have any help. I can understand her pain. Maybe built more self check so we can help ourselves. That would definitely lighten the load off of your employees.

I just love this store. It was revamped a while ago with a new manager and staff, then a remodel. The whole staff is so nice and polite. (I know some of them by name.) They are all quick to help, and they are always moving; helping a customer, stocking shelves, checking someone out. There's rarely carts of stock to be unloaded, therefore you can shop the whole store. This store is a pleasure to shop. Thank you Shannon and Landon!

This is the second time I’ve come to the Mandeville, La Hwy 22 store in 5 days (today is 8/18/22) during store business hours and the doors are locked and all the lights are on. Leaves me wondering if the worker is inside but just doesn’t feel like working or are they even at work? I doubt they are on a bathroom break because both times I’ve waited a while to see if they’d unlock the doors. No wonder the store isn’t doing well financially- because their employees are on the clock, getting paid while they lock the doors and are possibly not even at the store. Nobody can buy anything if the store is not open. Close this Dollar General and replace it with a Family Dollar.Just wanted to note that this store had been closed for remodeling but there is a sign in front that says they are open.

No stars would be too much for this place.Before it became a tienda with the Mexican manager playing happy-ass music on his phone - love Mexico and their country people but really? - It was once a "go-to" place for tidbits. But it's now a "go-by" place. Admittedly, he's been gone for a while but other than the "music" it's still the same. There are always carts of boxes piled high of things that should be ON the shelf. Their "clearance" items are 10% off the regular price. . The "new" arrangement is just inconvenient.

I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, or even complaining about my experiences, but I was treated poorly when I was in the dollar general yesterday. A blonde female worker began going on every aisle I was also on. I work retail, so I know she was watching me to see if I was stealing, but why? I know I went in there dressed casually in a shirt and sweatpants, but that gave her no reason to FOLLOW ME AROUND THE STORE. I tried to enjoy my shopping experience, and even decided to ask her for help, since she was right there. I asked about an item and without even checking she croaked, "we're out." When I got to the check out counter, I was even checked out by thos woman. She was rude about my coupons and even made a big deal about a pan I bought being rung up wrong. I wanted to go to self check, but this woman wouldn't let.I pointed out that a pan I'd purchased had wrong up wrong and told her that I had a picture because I asked my mother if she wanted it. This woman disappeared down an aisle and yelled at me that she had to check. I told her that I wouldn't waste my time moving all the pans for a discount. I almost asked her to refund everything, but I managed to keep my cool.What does this lady think there is to steal, gold? It's the dollar general!
