I have been a customer of Capital One for over 30 years. I do not have a problem with the personnel at this particular bank, just with corporate Capital One. On June 17, 2024, two of my bank accounts were hacked by someone. They took $16,500.00 from my savings account and transferred it to my business account. They then did ACH transfers from my business account totaling $17,183.74. Within 20 minutes of all of this happening, I called the Fraud Department to stop the transfers. On June 17, 2024, the Fraud Department told me the transfers had been stopped. On June 18, 2024, they told me the transfers went through. All I am hearing from the Fraud Department and everyone else at Capital One is that they "are investigating." They have refused to return my money to me. I have contacted to Sheriff's Office who says they can do nothing. I have also contacted the Secret Service who is the federal agency that investigates (not the FBI) bank fraud. They completed their investigation. They know where the money went, but cannot get it back. They said my recourse it to get it from the bank. No one at Capital One will tell me anything and have refused to put anything in writing. They just keep saying they are investigating, but only when I call them.
I have taken the remainder of my money out of Capital One and I suggest you do the same. Get your money out while you still can.
To answer their question "What's in your wallet?" My answer is NOTHING.
They have finally returned my money after three weeks! Still no communication from anyone. The money just appeared back into my old account without any notice or explanation. It was put in the old account that showed the money was there but would not allow me access to the money. I had to contact the bank to get them to give me access to the money. They then transferred it to a new account they allowed me access to. Tomorrow I will be going into the bank to take out all of the money and deposit it into my new bank.

Worst branch in the area. Recently went to get funds wired to my account. Seemed like the first time anyone has ever heard of doing this. Between the three of them they didn't have a clue. Gave me a number to call that was useless. Tried to call capital one first but I can't speak Indian or tagalog. They need to hold training on basic banking services!!

My last 2 interactions at the bank were handled very expertly and it deserves a note. 1st over a year ago Bradley helped explain a thoroughly unsatisfactory outcome of a problem I had - that had nothing to do with the bank. He was understanding and knowledgeable and helped me to feel listened to and understood. THATS why I chose to return to this branch when I had another issue that required a bit of hand holding. SHOUT OUT to Ariane branch ambassador who came through for me. She advocated for me by explaining my problem to the bank in bank language and very satisfactorily helped resolve my issue with her patience and tenacity. She was assuring and I felt confident that my issue was resolved and the process of reconciliation was expertly explained. ARIANE is truly was an ambassador and I greatly appreciate her help.

DO NOT USE ATM’S AT THIS LOCATION!! Twice now I’ve had two DIFFERENT ATM’S keep my card and both times I was told they couldn’t do ANYTHING about it since they “don’t own the ATM’s that aren’t attached to the building even though they say Capital One and are on our property”. They had to cancel the card and send another one which takes 7-10 days. Two weeks later I used a different ATM at the Mandeville location and went to deposit cash but it kept my card once again and the machine spit some of my money out on the ground and kept the rest in the machine but did NOT deposit it. Instead of Capital One pulling the camera to validate my claim they told me they would have to investigate it first before returning my money which I didn’t get until several days later. The only reason I rated a 1 is bc I couldn’t choose 0. Hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced anywhere. Very sad

I had something very scary happen today. I deposited cash into the ATM, an error message popped up, and the ATM returned $63 and my debit card. $1357 was still in the ATM unaccounted for. I frantically went into the bank when they opened. I had tears in my eyes because times are tough right now. Everyone was extremely helpful. They went above and beyond. Although it is not settled yet I was very satisfied with the service and love I felt from the staff. I have high hopes this will be resolved quickly. Thank you!

Absolutely ridiculous! Bank of this nature can’t cash a 8k check saying it’s too much, will NEVER use them again.

1 star is a stretch I think the problem with Capital One is collectively the employees in all levels ignore problems and just let them escalate higher and higher. many employees multiple branches to corporate

Clerks are always friendly never rude. They always answer any questions with a smile. Lines move very quickly unless person is slow getting deposits ready to send to cashier. Pens always work. Phone customer service is also amazing. I love banking with capital one. And no OVER DRAFT fees now. Yay

Capital one sucks. This is now the second time I've gone to this branch to find it completely closed during normal business hours. Sign sending everyone to downtown location. Cap 1 offers the leadt personal services of ANY banks in the area. Will be closing my account as soon as they have staff in this location to do so.

CapitalOne is the strangest company. One day they are excellent and the next day they are terrible. Closing the HWY 190 branch in Covington by WalMart and leaving the Highway 25 branch open makes no economic sense. The 190 branch was always busy and it is in the heart of a major business/shopping area, while the Highway 25 branch is not in a good area for most people and it takes too long to fight traffic to get there. I have had some very good experiences with the staff at the 190 branch so I'm sad that as of June 30 my business and personal accounts will be moving to Gulf Coast Bank and Trust. This is directly because of an unexplainable decision to close the 190 branch. I am in business development and I am dumbfounded that Capital One would do this, while leaving the slow and poorly located Highway 25 branch open.

Reviewed them poorly about 6 months ago and since then this Capital One location (Hwy 22) has changed the way I feel about the items I was unhappy with. Fair being fair, I'd like to upgrade my review from 1 to 4 stars. They have lately been quick, extremely nice and very helpful. Thank You!
