Walgreen's Pharmacy
2755 Country Club Rd, Lake Charles, La. 70605
Just wanted to take a second to recognize an employee who made my Walgreen's pharmacy experience much better. Quin was very helpful in getting my prescription filled. She showed professionalism and kindness. The way you treat people makes all the difference. Every pharmacy needs a Quin!

It seems that the pharmacy is understaffed 100% of the time. Always busy and always only 1 or 2 people working. I transferred my scripts to another pharmacy because it’s always a hassle to pickup.

Long wait times to pick up your prescription, that's not normally ready to pick up! So you have to wait again.

I called earlier today and spoke to a female manager who confirmed that this location could assist with passport photos, as long as I arrived before 7 PM. It's a 1 hour service, and they have paper and all needed equipment. However, the cashier sighed when I asked for assistance and she called for Shift Manager Chris (refused to give a last name) who told me it was broken. They both appeared reluctant to help due to it being within the hour when the service will end for the day. Chris would not come speak to me. He only told the cashier to send me away. I am so frustrated. 3 different Walgreens locations would not assist and the staff at this location appeared to be LAZY AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I let them know Id leave a review and report to corporate office. They were unphased.

This has to be by far the worst Pharmacy I have ever dealt with. They reduce their hours more and more. They take minimum 30 minutes to just drop off a prescription. They never have the medication in stock. You have to wait on hold forever just to ask a question, which they cant answer anyway. Walgreens in general has turned to junk. Everyone of them in the area is horrible.

Walgreens, on the Country Club and Elliott Road, is a good store, with exception to the arrogant self-centered pharmacist, who treats his coworkers (including the store manager) as if they are beneath him. He also give select favoritism to some customers (mostly well-dressed white men) and either ignores or belittles other customers he come in contact with. I have observed him on multiple occasions and have been told by store managers that, while they have had many complaints, nothing is done about it. I was given a 1-800 number to call and still saw no change in the pharmacist's bias practices. He has spoken to some customers worse than someone might address a stray dog (aggressively leaning towards a customer and saying "Go home!...Go home! instead of addressing the customer's legitimate concern about being turned away because the pharmacy decided to close early, with customers still in line. If I could give a negative star rating for him, I would. The 2-star is only because of the few employees there who try to make up for his prejudice and pathetically bullish behavior to must customers and co-workers. A truly arrogant, foully-spoiled white man of self-appointed entitlement.

Everytime I go to refill my medication they are out! When I drop off a Rx, I have to wait in line for a 20-30 minutes because they are always understaffed. This most recent time, they tell me my medication won't be ready until Tuesday of the next week (I dropped the rx on a friday). It's obvious that this location is very unorganized, because they can't keep a decent inventory count and their customer service is horrible!!

I am writing this review on behalf of my Mother-in-Law who has been a loyal Walgreens customer for many years. A side note: her Mother was a long time employee of Walgreens -over 20 years- and was a shareholder! So here's the story: Mom was excited to get a coupon from Walgreens stating that since her birthday is in November she could use the coupon EACH time she purchased something from Walgreens to receive 10 times the rewards points. Again, the important thing is that the coupon clearly states EACH time during your birthday month it could be used for the extra points. The coupon did not state in any way, shape or form that it was a one-time use coupon. ( Please see attached image of coupon.) One of the reasons Mom was so excited is that it was re-usable during her entire Birthday Month!! She received her 10 times rewards points for each dollar spent when she made her first purchase during her Birthday Month and presented the coupon. Happy Camper. Then... she went to this Walgreens a second time on November 24th and presented the same coupon to the cashier. When the cashier scanned the coupon the register did not allow it to go through. The cashier asked if the coupon had been used previously and Mom said yes, but read the coupon. The cashier read the coupon including all the fine print and agreed that it should be able to be used more than once during the entire month of November with no restrictions. The Manager was called, read the coupon, and totally agreed. When she tried to scan it and it was refused Mom requested the coupon be returned to her so she could inform the Walgreens Corporate Office of their mistake and provide them the opportunity to remedy it.

I switched to this Walgreens because the line to get medicine is the fastest of all the Walgreens in lake Charles. They don't have extended hours but it's so quick to get medicine so to me it's worth it
