Worst pharmacy I've ever had the displeasure of encountering. The pharmacist will also refuse to fill certain medications that she is not \\\"comfortable\\\" with, which should be no one's business but the doctor and patient. Just chuck that Hippocratic oath out the window, because that's violating their oath to do no harm... While you actively hurt people through your negligence. Do yourself a favor and go to another pharmacy where they care about their patients. I'd give it zero stars, if possible.

The pharmacy department has the worst customer service ever. I understand yes they close 6 certain days. It was 5:55pm when we got there. I was the 3rd car in line. At 6:00pm on the dot they closed the window and locked it. They did not take the time which would've been a few minutes to finish off the line of customers who were waiting. Customer service and what not goes a long way for a business. If you cared for your customers then staying a little past close shows it. Not shutting the door and not seeing what they needed. What if it was something majorly urgent. Never would know because oh gosh it's 6:00pm close the doors.

Walgreens corp office needs to seriously put attention to their stores in the lake Charles area after getting hit hard with their last hurricane. Pharmacy closings till 5/5/21 (customer found out today) need to #1 have an auto message and text sent to their customers. #2. That Pharmacy should not be able to accept an escript OR update the system so another Walgreens can access it and transfer to their location. #3 Everywhere it needs to be made known for a physician calling in or scripting medicine that a specific Pharmacy is closed on the weekends. I spent all day trying to get a patient medication and now its 7pm on a Friday and still at it. 2 weeks ago I sat on hold between at work and home for 7 hours trying to speak with a pharmacist for new medication scripts. Offer 20 an hour. I guarantee you will have a full Pharmacy staff. If not. Shut down your capability to accept refills and new scripts. Thank you. Sincerely, Frustrated non local doctors and staff that serve your Pharmacy customers.

This place has way too many customers due to the closing of what was a nearby RiteAid which provided excellent customer service with minimal wait times. A CVS farther north on Ryan St would probably provide much better customer service. I presented a prescription at the counter and was told it would be ready in about 2 hours. I returned to the pharmacy at least 3 hours later and the prescription was not ready and there was a long line to reenter when the prescription might become available. It's really not the fault of the pharmacy people. The pharmacy is grossly under-staffed. It is the fault of our corrupt government which allows monopolization in the pharmacy industry. There are now only 2 significant pharmacy corporations in the U.S. It seems the government wants to ensure big profits to monopolies mandating that citizens be treated as chattel.

Staff is nice and can be funny. An old lady helped me find condoms then helped me choose one. She told me the pros and cons based on her experiences.

Most of the young ladies working the pharmacy counter were eating pizza while waiting on customers.... so much so when the lady in front of me reached in her purse to get her wallet the lady working the register leaned over and shoved another piece of pizza in her mouth.... i guess shame on walgreens for not giving their workers a lubch break? Either way it was not a pleasant experience and ill go back to Rite Aid.
