Good hotel if there for business but wouldn't use it for family vacation. People were great, room was a little small with no microwave. Breakfast was good but missing some things.Safety: Great safe location.Noteworthy details: Close to a lot of food places.

The beds were hard, pillows were cheap, and the floors were sticky. They stayed the hotel is dog-friendly but provide no visible walking arra for dogs and no trashcan or bags for pet waste.The walls are also paper thin so I heard the neighboring guests all night including whay they watched on TV. Very uncomfortable stay.

Recently stayed here. Was flabbergasted when I got home to see an extra $250 charge from the hotel. When I called to ask about it, I was told that we were accused of smoking in the room, and that there were ashes in the trash can. We are not even smokers!!! and the room was fine when we left. I was told they had proof because of ashes in the trash can (that’s not proof that WE DID THE SMOKING) we don’t smoke!! .. could have been anyone and we were only there for one night.. I was told there’s nothing I can do and they weren’t going to argue with me or help me. I basically got hustled, scammed for $250 from this place. Idk if someone went in after us or a maid or who knows or if they pull this stunt on people but I would absolutely find another place to stay in Lake Charles . I’ was so upset over this and they did nothing to help.

It still has that "newly built" feel to it. It's been well maintained as far as I can tell. The colors seemed to be aimed towards a younger more energetic crowd.

If I could rate the room cleanliness it would be 3 out of 5. The bathroom could've have used deeper cleaning. The bedding didn't appear to be clean. I discovered some spots on the sheet. The cleaning staff would replace my used towels and washcloths but would fail to take the used ones to the bathroom floor. One time housekeeping came in and left a used washcloth on the microwave, a paper towel on the floor next to the bed. The kicker was that for two days I had no hot water. I called to let them know and was told that there was. After having to wash up in cold water, I proceeded to the front desk to let them know that I still didn't have hot water and that no one ever followed up with me. I returned from work and still didn't have hot water. The receptionist attempted to go the boiler room and turn the temperature to the highest level. It did help some. I didn't have hot water the following morning either.

Walls are extremely thin. You can hear everything in the room next-door to you.. and whatever the front desk tells you is probably a lie.

Great place to stay in town. Nice view of the lake and the service was amazing. There were a few hiccups not worth mentioning, but overall a great location. 5 minutes from hotel and local shopping.

My first stay at this location. Very disappointed with room booking management. I booked this room weeks in advance and when I arrived at hotel no rooms available. This is last time I will stay at this hotel. Assuming that I actually get a room here today.

The staff were super friendly and helpful! Five stars to the staff!!!! But the rooms don't have coffee pots or microwaves in them. So you have to go downstairs to heat up anything or get coffee. Also the walls in the rooms are pretty thin.

Was prepared to give a positive review until I saw a roach in my room. When you pay 100 plus a night, I think a bug free room should be the minimum requirement. The tv freezes frequently but that’s tolerable compared to thie roach.

Great clean hotel with a good complimentary breakfast! It’s a great hotel for the price and also have a military rate. The atmosphere is modern and great commons area! The beds are ok and same for the pillows. The only improvement I would say is better quality beds and pillows, but everything else was great!

Hotel was clean, cool, comfortable and safe. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in and out were super easy. Great location and would definitely stay here again.

Amazing! The soundproof pods were a dope addition to our stay. The games were nice for the kids, breakfast was on point for the family, and the outside lounging furniture was relaxing.

My mom got a room at Tru. The staff did not clean her room for three days despite her telling them she needed towels or toilet paper. They did not do anything but say "sorry" and hand her what she needed. The last day they finally cleaned her room when she was past the point of needing it cleaned. It's an okay hotel, but the service is questionable.
