“I needed emergency service for my daughter who was broke down Saturday night at a strip mall in Lake Charles. Being out of state and unable to assist her, I was worried of who to call. I found Achilles Roadside Assistance and was put at ease when he immediately responded to my daughter within 15 minutes of my call. Within minutes she was on her way and we were able to pay with CC via email. The following day, Sunday morning, I asked him to check her battery and change it if necessary. “I cannot express enough how awesome this company treated us. We were cominh home from MDS in Houston where my husband received an no Evidence Of Disease report from his cancer journey and got straded on the west side of lake charles with broken ball joint. Got to us within a reasonable amount of time. The driver, Zane, was very polite, knowledgeable and helpful getting us to the chevy dealership. He told us he could drive us home but after getting the quote, we decided to let the dealership fix it. After wasting a day and a half we called Harmons back to see if the offer was still available. It was and by 12:30 on Friday (this started wed early afternon) we were rolling towards Alabama. Zane was very polite, enjoyed conversing with him and was an EXCELLENT driver. Our experience was the polar opposite of theirs. I would like to emphasize the fact that nothing in life is free. No company, in their right mind, would release a vehicle until their services were paid for, whether by insurance or out-of-pocket. We had cash on hand, but if our insurance was paying, we'd have expected to wait for said payment before the release of our vehicle.
