I will never order a cake from this bakery again!I ordered 2 custom round cakes online two days in advance from when I needed them. I had them set to be ready at 11am. Time passes and it's 1pm the pick up day. I get no notification that the cakes are ready so I call the bakery.A very rude black woman answers the phone and asks me how I'm going to get notification of it being ready and I said I didn't know but I received an email for my order confirmations for the cakes. She checks for the cakes and 1 is ready and the other was never made! (One was a birthday cake and one was an anniversary cake.)She tells me it will be ready in about 20-30 minutes. Okay fine.I let an hour go by to be on the safe side because I live outside of Lake Charles and I didn't want to drive all the way up thereand still have to wait. I go to the store to pick the cakes up and the anniversary cake says birthday! They also put these round, double layer cakes in a regular rectangle box so on top of this, the roses on the cakes are all smashed into the top of the box! They had to scrape birthday off of the cake to write anniversary, smashed roses on both cakes. They ended up charging me half price for the anniversary cake but the other cake was still full price even though it was still smashed up. Each cake was supposed to have whipped icing and they had buttercream icing!I am warning you, DO NOT ORDER A CAKE FROM HERE. I will stick to Walmart for a custom cake. ?NEVER AGAIN!

I found this Kroger to have a wide variety of products, and it was fully stock and clean. I found all the products that I went to look for and even more products that I haven't seen before.

I am a fan of Kroger. However, the store on Country Club Road in Lake Charles, LA does not stand up to the quality I have come to expect from the company. First of all the store is located on the corner of two busy streets. Wirh no traffic lights at any of the entrances, it is often very difficult to enter and exit the parking lot. Inside the store it is very difficult to maneuver isles due to the number of stand alone racks placed in the isles and the thoughtlessness of the stockers and their carts and pallets blocking the isles as well as the shelves shoppers are trying to get product from. Checkout is often backed up due to registers not open or broken down. There are two banks of self-checkout registers. However, one is ALWAYS closed and blocked off. I like shopping at Kroger but it will be hard for me to return to this particular store.

This store always has most of the self checkout registers closed the employees They have checking people out do not care and are unfriendly they're usually on their phones, not paying attention, or not wanting to help any customers. The attitude of the employees is like I'm a burden and I'm an inconvenience to the employees when I'm trying to check out This is a sign of poor management. This is not a one time experience this is consistent experience every time I visit this Kroger

Be prepared to dodge shopping carts in the parking lot. The customers are just as bad as leaving them where ever they want as the store is picking them up. When you finally get a cart inside they are usually jacked up. If I'm in this area I go to Albertsons.

Pretty good and spacious. We can find a lot of things from vegetables to grocery items. Associates are very professional and courteous.

Great variety of produce and other groceries. Their bakery has a large selection of fresh baked goods. We love the Boar’s Head Deli meats and cheeses. They also carry a variety of cleaning products, personal goods, makeup, essential oils, hair care products, Over The Counter medicinal products, and Vitamin Supplements. They also have some aisles with kitchen tools, Lodge Cast Iron products, kitchen towels, Mason Jar products, canning jars are on another aisle. They have dish sets, coffee pots, single brewers, baking dishes, casserole dishes, etc. They have a nice floral shop with flowers and potted plants. On special occasions they sell chocolate covered strawberries and other items specific to the season. You can earn points to get a small discount on your gas. The gas station is usually not too crowded so you aren’t wasting gas to get gas.Update: I can’t recommend their pharmacy. I used it for years and it got increasingly more difficult to get prescriptions and the pharmacists that were working there were rude and condescending!I recently decided to order online and do pick up. I was very pleased.

Thank you, Jenn!Went back to floral department, and Jenn helped us again with color, ribbon, and filler suggestions. Thank you again Jenn. The arrangement looks great!Thank you, Dylan, for your knowledge of technology. We appreciate your help at the register!!

This Kroger has really just gotten horrible since Hurricane Laura. They don't rotate stock, new stock is just placed in front of old stock. They don't check old stock for expiration dates very often. I don't buy much here anymore, and I think I'll just stop all together, it just isn't worth it. Today is April 2nd. One product had three expiration dates; April 7, 2023, March 17, 2023, and 2 from November 2022!!! Yes the November 2022 were all the way in the back of the shelf. So it was stocked three times without rotating or removing old expired product.

Eli was so compassionate & nice! I was standing at the Starbucks line waiting to grab a coffee ( best service in Kroger for coffee btw ) and he bought my coffee. I enjoyed a conversation with him on my lunch break and I really appreciate him just remotely even noticing me as a customer in general. Thank you for the service!! I love going to the Starbucks at Kroger. It’s fast and convenient, even if you’re only grabbing coffee!

I'd like to point out that Ms. Nancy went out of her way to answer a question for us. She is a true gem ?.Their fruit selection is usually excellent. You'll have to be careful with the blueberries though. Once they were spoiled on the bottom.

If I could do zero stars I would!! 5pm I went in to Krogers and put together probably about $400 dollars worth of groceries. I am a super nice, patient, happy person under normal circumstances, but I am an ER tech, NOT a grocery clerk, and i had unintentionally gotten into the self check line. That being said, I started scanning my stuff, and doing a pretty good job of it I THOUGHT, but apparently the cold medicine I bought needed an ID check. Not a problem, right? I'm over 21 and I have cold symptoms ? WRONG!!! The woman whose job it was to "assist" those of us who did not chose to enter the retail grocery industry came over and began to loudly berate me, all the while flinging my groceries back into the cart until she reached the offending Robitussin. I apologized, and began rescanning the groceries, but this was obviously not the protocol. After being scolded loudly, on a holiday weekend, after a very long day, I decided I was done. I told her I wouldn't be needing ANY of the groceries, and left it all in the cart and went to Albertson's., who will be getting all my business from now on despite the fact that they are somewhat more expensive. Good job Krogers...you saved the world from a decongestant felony, but you definitely lost a customer. I didn't get her name, but it was about 530pm on Thursday December 22nd at the Kroger on Country Club Lane...and lady, you know who you are!!!

I only come here due to the availability of certain items. The last two times I have asked a worker where something is (today actually), they have stared at me with a blank stare and stated, "I don't know" and nothing else. These young kids have no clue what customer service is. Help people find it or ask someone who knows. I feel sorry for anyone who is elderly and having issues trying to find what they need in there. On other occasions, I've had other issues with getting no help with the app and with the points at the pump. No one knows anything.

The delivery service is a joke. Let me start by saying me and my entire family are sick (type B flu) and can't go to the store. So against my better judgment, I ordered delivery. I placed the order AT 2 P.M!, paid nearly $10 for the soonest delivery (6pm & 8pm), just to have the oder arrive after 8:30pm, & the shopper claims 3/4 of the items are out of stock. From now on, I'll just be irrational and go in the store sick, save myself the delivery fee, and get every item on my list. Ridiculous. The pick up service is just as bad.
