We arrived at the hotel and I asked if we can have a late check out as we were getting married the next day in the hotel. I was told by Teri to ask the night clerk as they only had 2 of the honeymoon suites and if it got booked we would not be able to. No problem we waited and asked the night clerk and he was so nice Jerimiah and said no one booked it the latest you can stay is 2pm that was perfect. The next morning heading to breakfast the clerk Teri comes right up to us and says you have to be out of the room by 1pm as they had to clean it, I explained the night clerk said 2 and she told me he didn’t have the authority to do that. I go back to the room and look that our room wasn’t even rented out again I go back up to the desk and say why we can’t stay until 2 like the man the night before said and she said to me if you want to stay longer you have to rent the room again. Went back to my fiancé in tears as we had our officiant coming to the hotel to do a quick ceremony there at the hotel. He goes down asks her again and she said you just have to pay for another room and we couldn’t do our ceremony in their beautiful front lobby unless we paid for another night so he did, even though that was making our budget super tight for just to stay 2 more hours. She then tries to make it better by trying to put a flower together for me and my now husband. I’m guessing she was just trying to make whatever commission as the hotel had maybe 3 guests in it. I do have to say praises to the house keeping staff as my fiancé asked 2 of them personally to stay and be witnesses as we needed it and they were so happy to do so, they took videos and pictures for us they were amazing! We also rented their top room and we were in the tub and a cockroach ran out that I killed. I get It Louisiana and it rained but still. All in all Teri tried to ruin our day trying to make an extra buck and tried to sugar coat it before we left. Also the breakfast was terrible other than the bagels, they need to deep clean the juice machine. We also asked Teri for food options in the area and she said I don’t live in this area I live 45 minutes away but their is a Mexican restaurant that way and a chilis that way. Front desk manager I would feel would have some kind of list. After all of that though I am happily married and their front foyer was so pretty.

We enjoyed this trip so much. We were returning from a weeks long trip to Reynosa Mexico from a Missions trip. We hadn’t stayed at this location in 2 years and the young man who greeted us remembered me. We had had conversations on my last visit about my time in the military and he was so kind.It’s nice to come home so to speakWe will make this our bi annual stop every June and December on our trip homeRooms: Clean and roomyNoteworthy details: The breakfast was fantastic and the staff very accommodating

Situated close to interstate exit for ease of both coming and going. Very friendly staff. Breakfast provides good start for the day. The rooms albeit a bit dated were comfortable and clean. Stayed twice coming and going between Florida and Texas and would stay again.Rooms: Nice

Only thing id complain about is that the room is a little out dated and in need of some repair. Id say particularly in the bathroom / tub.. the lamps are DIRTY had rust on them. On a good note Elijah at the front desk was SUPER helpful and attentive 10 out of 10. Its very convenient location very Easy on and off I-10 east and west probably 3 blocks. The breakfast was to be expected. Id probably stay here again all in all.

We were traveling back to Florida from New Mexico and this place was right off the highway. It was clean and kept up. Night desk clerk was friendly. Rooms were good, comfy beds, showers were nice and hot. I did love that they had Dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. We were up early and they had a good little breakfast with lots of options for picky eaters. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling.

Staff was accommodating and polite. The southern hospitality was truly extended. The room was on par for a holiday express. The room was a 3 out of 5. It was clean but there were some issues, holes in the lampshades, the bathroom shower was not the cleanest and there was water damage around the window. It also looked as the sprinkler went off at one time. The TV was small and the volume was limited making it hard to hear. As for the asthetics of the room you have to remember the area was hit with 2 major hurricanes. Alot of the Lake Charles area is still under repair with many of the buildings and businesses boarded up and abandoned. I would stay here again. The staff made up for any shortfalls the building had and even with the issues, it was a comfortable room with a good bed and quiet.

My husband and I stayed Labor Day weekend for a quiet getaway and to visit our grandson.We stayed in the jacuzzi suite and absolutely LOVED it! My husband is a tall man, and we both fit easily in the jacuzzi! It was fairly quiet, despite being right at the top of the stairs, and right next to the vending/ice machines. Could hear some kids running back and forth, but it wasn't too bad. The blackout curtains did a great job, a lot of hotels we've stayed in recently, the curtains always let light in around the sides and top.The breakfast bar was okay. It had a better selection than most hotels. The pork sausage was a bit bland, and the omelets were a little too much on the brown/crispy side for me. They were out of cinnamon rolls by the time I got there, and they didn't put any more out. It's a shame, I really love cinnamon rolls, lol.It was a very relaxing stay for my husband and me. We got to spend quality time with our grandson. We wanted him to spend the night with us one of the nights so we could take him swimming in the pool, but we were told no kids in the jacuzzi suite, even though there was a sign in the back of the door that just said to never leave kids unattended in the jacuzzi suite. Kind of a contradiction, so....But even with that said, it was a very enjoyable stay. The room was clean, as well as the whole facility that we could see. Even though the neighborhood left a little to be desired, the hotel seemed very secure; never once did I feel unsafe outside without my husband with me. The staff was great, very courteous and professional, especially the older lady at the front desk with the short dark hair (I'm sorry I forgot your name, hon!). I would definitely recommend this hotel, and would very likely stay again. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Elijah is absolutely fantastic! So friendly, informative and efficient! Such a pleasure after traveling all day. We got the jacuzzi suite, genuinely enjoyed it, the jacuzzi was big enough for two adults and lots of hot water. Microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker in the room as well. Clean,well stocked bathroom with plenty of towels.Definitely recommend if you’re traveling through Lake Charles , it’s conveniently right off the interstate. Felt safe and comfortable inside and out.

The staff was pleasant, but I didn't make it out of my car before being accosted by a vagrant. I'm sure the room would be fine, but I left. There are just better neighborhoods to stay the night.Safety: I wouldn't trust the neighborhood with your things while you sleep.

We stayed 2 nights, and due to a storm, the electricity went out for close to 12 hrs starting the second evening of our stay. However, we chose not to leave, and we stayed comfortably cool despite not having A/C. The 2 front desk people we encountered during our stay, Alecia and Elijah (I apologize if I misspelled Alecia), were both absolutely fantastic and very helpful and pleasant. The hotel was clean, our room was clean and the breakfast was good. We enjoyed having choices of breakfast items beyond the usual cereal and stale pastries.

Great location for a stay on the road. Elijah at the front desk was the nicest, most polite person we encountered on our 10 day journey. The room was clean and comfortable. My wife was really impressed that the bathroom soaps, lotions, shampoo, etc were Dove. The room had a large mini fridge and a microwave. The continental breakfast was great. Definitely recommend!

I have no complaints. Price was reasonable and the rooms were clean. Didn't get to interact much with employees but they were friendly for check in. Breakfast was good when compared to other places that only give you coffee and snacks.Rooms: Rooms were comfortable

We got a room with a jetted tub, and it was so nice. The bed was absolutely comfortable. The staff was amazing as well. And the continental breakfast was delicious! And we have had some bad ones, lol. And the carpet felt so clean. I will definitely be staying at these hotels again.

This hotel is not too far from the food and shopping on Gerstner. The two ladies who greeted us at the desk upon our arrival were very friendly and professional. The rooms smelled a bit and were a little stuffy. We had a suite so it may have helped if the bed were on the side of the room with the a/c. The mattresses and pillows could definitely use an upgrade. The breakfast was good and I appreciated the hot tea and coffee that were available 24/7. This hotel did the job for a one night stay.

Very clean room. Staff were exceptional and took great care of us. Breakfast was delicious and refilled constantly. Would definitely stay there again.
