Would not recommend
Hotel was below a budget hotel quality but 6 star pricing.
Restaurants overall priced for frozen meals
Service on the casino floor impossible
Service in the pool was the highlight of the weekend.
Rooms: Good to rest but not well maintained
Drawers were out of dresser when we entered the room.and didn't close once put backing.
Bathroom was clean but water all over the floor, sink and shower.
Sliding door to bathroom needs aligned, took way too much effort to close.
For 3 days the floor next to the AC Vent was wet.
A/C would only run for 2 mins regardless of what temp. Woke up sweeting both nights.
MUCH nicer hotels for a 1/4 of the price.
Food & drinks: Way over priceds for frozen itailian food .
Drinks were almost impossible to get inside the casino
Service was the best at the pool, but you will pay for it.
Noteworthy details: Not much to do with kids
Pool and lazy river were the highlight of the 3 days.

We love this place as the closest casino to our hometown. The standard rooms are nice enough with comfortable beds and large bathrooms. The restaurants are all Landry places, now we love these choices and eat often at the Houston locations. Here they are subpar at best. The level of service is not great and the food is edible but not very good, especially for the prices. We have eaten at all but Vic and Anthony's and are favorites are the Asian place and Bills burger place at the beach, these are VERY good in both taste and service. The casino is nice with a lot of slot machines and table games, however, they only open more than one table for 3 card poker later in the evening and they are always packed from what I have seen. Meanwhile, they have several empty blackjack tables with dealers and no customers.

Had a blast out here! Fun, good food, lots to do, serve at the bar was slow but maybe cause it was 4th of July weekend.
Other than that, I'll b back!

This is not a 4 star hotel. The rooms are dirty and not well maintained. I have to unplug and then plug in the phone every time I want to use it. Simple, room service breakfast was supposed to be delivered in 40 min arrived cold after more than an hour. It’s also served in styrofoam containers. The spa body scrub was hands down the worst spa treatment I’ve ever received. It was not a scrub at all. A slightly grainy product was put on the skin and then wiped off with washcloths that smelled strongly of bleach.
I will say that every employee we encountered was very kind, friendly and also apologetic when these issues were brought to their attention, although no resolution to the issues were offered.
This hotel is more of a 2-3 star hotel and the word luxury should not ever be used to describe it.

I have been going to the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles for years.Thoroughly enjoy the beautiful rooms and the many restaurants to choose from. The casino floor is huge with so many fun slots, table games and great concerts. The pool area with the lazy river is so much fun and having a walk up bar makes it special. You need to go for a fun time!!!

We were affected by Hurricane Beryl on the day we decided to go on vacation we are on day 3 with no power so I called in to book a room last minute. I told them I was coming in at 2 am and when I get there they say I cannot check in early. I understand the policy I just wish for better communication as I am ready to spend money and it doesn’t help the stressful week we had.

A nice place to visit ?
Walkability: There is a boardwalk at the back of the hotel where you can walk and enjoy nature and you can also walk on the small beach that they have nearby, if you are a lover of outdoor activities you will like to visit this place although it is small but it has its beauty.
You can also do activities in the water since there is a large expanse of water in this place and you can even bring your boat or even a small yacht. You would just have to find out if there is an additional cost since I would not know how to tell you to do this. . I love this part of the boardwalk, you really breathe so much peace and tranquility ?

Only half the elevators in the resort were working. Everytime we went to use an elevator there was a long wait. While normally not a bid deal but for the price it the rooms and the service expected from a four star resort this did not meet expectations.
