The employees aren’t very helpful and the offers they give for buying items are insultingly low.

This particular location is usually very kind, warm and welcoming but this visit Sam was very rude, short, and would not service me because I had no ID. When i was told i didn’t need an ID

Long Review, I apologize in advance but please read this before considering this store.I have had multiple problems with products from this store and ultimately the employees. I purchased a gaming headset from this store and at the time of the purchase, I relied on the employees knowledge as I had very little knowledge about gaming headsets. The employee informed me that the headset was 100% compatible with my console and recommended the item and described it as being the best choice, out of multiple options available. Upon getting the headset home it was discovered that it was not in fact 100% compatible as originally described by the employee. The main component of the headset ie: the audio volume, configuration of all chat and equalizer setting could not be changed or updated. I immediately took the item back to the store and described the problem and the information provided to me by the employee. The manager that was present at the time of the return informed me, that If he would have been present at the time of the purchase he would have informed me that the headset was best suited for a PC not a console, as he had previously done with other customers in the past. I requested a full refund. This request was due to that as customers, we work hard for our money and expect quality products that are as described by the employees. I was informed that only store credit could be issued as it was their policy. I understand policy and procedures as much as the next person but if the customer was misled about a product and given misleading information that ultimately led to the purchase; a full refund should be issued. I was denied this request and given the run around about my request to file a formal complaint due to this experience and have attempted to contact the customer service department multiple times. The manager at the store informed me that he had no information available in reference to filling a complaint. I ultimately had to contact another store to obtain the corporate offices contact information. I have still not heard from the corporate office as it is evident they do not stand behind their actions, knowledge and customer relations. Do not make the same mistake I did and if you want quality service and knowledgeable staff, do not consider this store.

This store is just a little less then OK. The store has a lot to offer. I enjoy looking for old DVDs. After reading a few reviews, I am not sure if I would purchase any electronics.I enjoy collecting Funko Pops. They have a large selection. However, the boxes for these Pops have damage. Not all do, but most will. The Pops are still listed at regular price…

I went to sell some items, I got them sold and they asked if I wanted cash or store credit. I asked if there were any 3Ds’ one of the employees said he was saving one for him to buy that day but he said I could buy it if I wanted so I got store credit, I had to go run some errands and come back but when I came back I was told he decided to actually buy it and now I’m stuck with store credit.

The GameXChange is the best place for games that are half price and i always get the games i wanted, but if they have Resident Evil Village (8), i'll be very happy, i really recommend this place, they have everything that you need, THANK YOU.

Very awesome little gaming store that sells a variety of retro video games, some old gen gaming systems, movies, and nerdy collectibles. Never had a bad experience with the employees or the products they sell.

Not a bad place, but the managers will intentionally hide games for them in the back if they want to buy them, and not let the customers even see it, if it's a high valued game such as the .hack series. Is this company for the customers or for the employees? It should be for both, not feeling that way. I understand you want first dibs. but extremely disrespectful to the customers to see items come out at your shop, and just stash it in the back for likely over a month just to buy it for yourself later, just because you're a manager. Literally abuse of power. Most companies call this stealing. Makes me want to buy from Amazon or elsewhere instead if this is how business is ran.

Ok, so I’ll be honest as to why it’s a 1 Star. This location has too many ups and downs and too much turnover. If the company was so good like other reviews state, why can’t they keep good associates? Knowledgeable ones too. Friendly at least. They have a great selection of games and pops and so forth. But let’s be honest it’s all junky and torn up. They have no clue how to take care of items. As a pop collector everyone knows box condition is everything. Yet they sell pops at PPG prices and the boxes are torn to bits. This is their “company” policy they say. But I’ve been to several other locations in Texas who do not use this policy and price accordingly. Also they do not offers refunds even if it’s a defective product they “tested”. They only offer store credit. Which if you sell me a defective product and assure me it works, I want a refund not store credit. I’ve had to dispute charges because of this in the past. Do yourself a favor and continue going to Gamestop and Flea Markets. At least Gamestop admits their screwing you. Game Exchange lies and does it with a smile. They are worse than most big box retailers. They also hook up people they know with deals. I’ve watched this before. I miss the original management at this store. I don’t want a deal, I just don’t want to be screwed. My latest visit was the last bit. I watched customers walk out because associates were too busy “hanging out”. Hope this helps.

Most games are fairly priced and the employees are nice. Only thing I hate about gamexchange is that they put stickers on their games. I understand why they do this, I just hate taking them off because they always leave residue.

GameXChange had a buy 20 DVD's for $10. I went in several times over the past month. I was told if any are doubles that I can bring them back and trade them out. When I went to go do this with 10 movies I was told that it was not possible by another employee. No sign in the store or on the receipt about not being allowed to exchanging the movies. The employee did offer to buy the movies back so I can use that credit to purchase more movies. What a scummy operation. I called CameXchange's corp number. 6 days later and still no response. You lost a customer for life over something so minor and in this economy you cant afford to lose anyone.

This place is a little pricy, but I still enjoy it. They have a wide variety of games and plenty of cool stuff. It's definitely a great place to check if you want a game that's about 5 or more years old.

Super friendly employees. One of the only gaming stores around. I hate that Gamestop sends their retro stock to warehouses, so this is the go-to regular ole gaming shop. Condition on a lot of SEGA/NES doesn't have a lot of variety. And some of the consoles may be functional but are cosmetically VERY iffy (like been left out in a hurricane iffy). Great place for retro collectibles at a fair price though. I alternate between Alexandria for equipment and Lake Charles for games. I always find a couple of hidden gems at each though.

Offering no refunds on unopened figure less than 24 hours...Good businesses has this as a standard for a long time now.Trust me, save your money, go to Gamestop, Walmart, etc. But best to avoid terrible "caveman-like" business practices such as this place. They forever lost my business, as I hopefully believed it would be a good place to find some of the hard to find items. I'll give my money elsewhere from here on out.More like "NoXchange" as far as my bad experience went.
