I was home visiting family for Thanksgiving when Callie jumped down from the seat in the car and hurt her back leg. The next day she wasn’t moving it or wanting to walk so I called and you all said you could see her right away. Everyone was wonderful - I cannot thank you enough for figuring out what was wrong. She’s resting and getting better! Thanks for caring for you so well and giving me peace of mind!

As a rabbit owner its insanely difficult to find competent and knowledgeable rabbit savvy vets for many of us, however i can say without doubt i would not trust my 3 with any other vet.

We've been seeing Dr. Tate for over a year and a half since getting a retired breeding Standard Poodle. We were referred here by someone who has 5 dogs. Its always been a very pleasant, professional experience. All the vets I have been to are expensive. His charges are in line with the profession. The best part of using Dr. Tate, is that I can get in within a couple of hours when necessary!

Dr. Tate & his staff are so compassionate towards their patients & their families. And, Vet Med's rates are competitive with other area animal hospitals.

My poor basset hound swallowed a bouncy ball and if it wasn't for this wonderful vet, she probably wouldn't be well right now. She's doing so much better. By far the best vet I love and Carsons vet too but Vet Med holds a special place in my heart and I'm sure with my molly Mae too. Thank you just isn't enough but it's all I can say. I'll be sure to treat y'all as soon as I get paid

Grossly incompetent and highly unprofessional! In December 2014, Dr. Scott Tate informed me he could issue a health certificate and APS for international pet travel. We obtained an Petlink 15-digit chip and rabies shot through Dr. Tate. The country of destination requires a 21 day delay before arrival and the US requires the shot after the chip is inserted. In march 2015 we took Deuce for his annuals. On May 26, 2015, 10 days before Deuce's flight , we went to see Dr. Tate for the health certificate and APS. Upon the documents and guidance of my pet shipping agent, who had been in the pet moving business for 30 years, I provided the documents for signature. During the visit Dr. Tate never scanned Deuce for the chip. Dr. Tate signed the APS form stating he verified the presence of the chip; he verified the chip in December. The health certificate and APS was faxed to the shipping agent and were advised the documents were incorrect to me and dr. Tate. Dr. Tate began to argue with the shipping company and I left without the health certificate and APS. I went to New Orleans and visited three additional vets and the local animal shelter who verified by scan and x ray the 15-digit Petlink ISO chip was NOT in Deuce's body. Deuce would have been sent back to the US and the cost would be on me IF I trusted Dr. Tate. Therefore, Deuce was not able to fly on the 3rd of June from Houston were I am scheduled to fly too because a new chip, exam, and rabies shot had to be delivered. Deuce will now fly June 24, but it's because I took a second, third, and fourth opinion. I wrote and delivered a formal complaint to the Louisiana Board of Veterinary Medicine against Dr. Tate. On June 2, 2015, I contacted dr. Tate who apologize and told me he would issue a refund; however, my account was charged even more than the services I was not provided. Dr. Tate could and his staff could not issue a proper credit to accounts! Dr. Tate cannot provide competent pet care, follow forms, work well with others, and refund your money. Dr. Tate has cost me more money, added stress, and having to be separated from Deuce for a month. Geaux elsewhere for better pet healthcare!
